Got my dash cam installed. Routed it through the headliner and used the 12V outlet as I didn't want any warranty claim pushback from Acura if I did a hardwire. I usually do a hardwire after the warranty has expired. I had to loosen the A-pillar cover carefully to carefully route the cable behind the air bag. I recommend you get a professional to do this if you install a camera.
I'm getting a dash cam eventually and the main hold up is trying to decide which to get. I will pay for something expensive if it's worth it, meaning I won't buy something just because it's cheap. But there are so many options out there, it's bewildering. Reviews are so inconsistent from one site or YouTube video to another for the same models, you don't know who to trust. What made you choose the Pittasoft?
My main things are:
Highest resolution/video quality available (4K/ultra HD)
Front and rear cameras
Large storage capacity
Record even when parked (motion [auto] sensor)
Easy to use app
Not void warranty
Don't need all the extra stuff like Alexa, navigation, calling 911, etc., all of which my Advance already can do.
I will definitely go the professional (not DIY) installation route.

Thanks.
I got the Thinkware U1000 2 channel (front and rear) and bought the optional OBD ll wiring kit, no cutting, no splicing, nothing attached to the fuse block, it simply plugs into your OBD ll port. I also had mine professionally installed and also had the optional radar module installed for extended parking (takes a lot less battery when parked).
I highly recommend this brand! We also considered Blackvue, but was told by two sources that the Blackvue app doesn’t play well with an IPhone after the latest Blackvue update, nor does it have a dedicated button to turn off completely if wanted. The Thinkware does.

Thank you! I will look into the Thinkware U1000. Sounds like it it would be a contender for what I’m looking for. I appreciate it. 👍
