Exclamation Full tank range - 2025 MDX Type S

Does anyone else experiences horrendous total range on a full tank of gas? 365km / 227 miles with 91 octane

I've never even gotten 227 when full on my 2024. But then again the car probably learned pretty quickly that I'm not driving for max fuel economy. One example: the very first thing I do after hitting the start button is twist the knob to sport mode mainly so the automatic engine off feature won't activate when I come to a stop. Would I love a longer range? Sure, but it certainly wasn't a deal-breaker and isn't something I really worry about.

I hear ya DJ, it’s just when I purchased it in September, I had 500+ km / 310 miles and only recently I noticed the drastic reduction, which perplexed me. After some further research, I think it has to do with the winter blend fuel. I’ll have to wait till May/June to see if “summer blend” fixes it. Do you recall your full range by chance?

I don't have a Type S MDX, however, I see 3 things that may be contributing to these readings on the Total Range. 1) What was the last MPGs achieved B4 you filled ? The calculation is done based upon the last tankful to the newest one ; 2) You should be trying full 93 Octane Premium fuel; 3) yes Winter gas will reduce your MPGs by 5-10% , reflected in the MPGs / Range calculation. And ....How you drive your Type S (Sport Modes) definitely affects MPGs.

Usually around 210 miles. But like I said, I never leave Sport mode and I have heavy feet on both the accelerator and brake pedal.

Don't ask, you will feel sad, especially when comparing to a X5.

With That Combo of driving style, it is no wonder of that kind of MPGs. Type S, In Sport Mode & a Heavy Foot = Poor Mileage. But You didn't get a Type S for good MPGs, right?
