2022 Acura MDX ONEpack Newsletter:

With the launch of the all-new 2022 MDX on February 2, Acura continues its commitment to delivering the highest quality product and experience to our clients. The MDX
One Pack Team has been tasked with investigating and resolving all complaints regarding the redesigned flagship model, and thus will be at your service over the next few
months.

The success of this new model launch and the MDX One Pack Team will greatly depend on strong communication with our dealerships. During this period, the MDX One
Pack Team will regularly update our dealers on the launch status through this letter.

As we ramp up sales of the 2022 MDX, below are just a few reminders from the team:

Please submit all 2022 MDX warranty claims daily and return any called-in parts promptly. To improve the quality of our products, it is crucial that the team have parts
to study; the earlier we can get these parts into the hands of our engineers, the quicker we can resolve quality issues.

With new model launches, body gaps and paint quality are often important areas of focus. If you have a body gap or paint concern, please remember to take at least two
photos—one up-close photo of the concern and one zoomed-out photo to show where on the vehicle the concern was found. When possible, including a rough
measurement of the gap or paint defect will also greatly assist the team’s investigation efforts.

Make use of your local field staff, the Field Quality Report (FQR), Tech Line, and the Warranty system to provide feedback on any quality issue you may discover. As
with any quality issue, the more details that can be provided, the better our team will be able to address the issue.



As sales volume of the redesigned 2022 MDX picks up, the One Pack team is receiving feedback about the SUV from both clients and the dealer community. In this
update, we would like to address some common questions that have come up thus far.

Engine Auto Off — A little-known behavior of the 2022 MDX is that the power mode will automatically turn to VEHICLE OFF if the driver exits the vehicle and lets it
idle for about 20 minutes. This is normal vehicle behavior. Please see the owner’s manual (page 439) for more details.

Wireless Apple CarPlay Integration with Hotspot — The 2022 MDX supports wireless Apple CarPlay. This allows the user to use CarPlay without having to
plug the phone into the vehicle. While CarPlay is supported from iPhone 5 on, most iPhones cannot use the wireless CarPlay while the phone’s hotspot is also enabled.
Only the iPhone 12 (all models: iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max) currently supports the simultaneous use of wireless CarPlay and the
phone’s hotspot.

Apple CarPlay/Android Auto Integration with USB Music — Using the USB Music App on the 2022 MDX, users can play music from a USB thumb drive that
is connected to the vehicle. However, this app is disabled if either wireless Apple CarPlay or wireless Android Auto Integration is enabled.

iPhone 12 Wireless Charging — If you receive a client who states that their iPhone 12 (all models: iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro
Max) does not charge via the wireless charger, please let them know that we are aware of this concern and are currently looking into it. Unfortunately, neither replacing the
wireless charger nor using another iPhone 12 will address the issue.
