Ziners - should one avoid these wheels?

Ziners - should one avoid these wheels?
I'm skeptical because the price seems low. Usually that means something up.

I wish they'd take my OEMs as trade - they sell for the exact same price on their site.
I'd do that in an f'n heartbeat.

Well I'm guessing "Waffles" is a derogatory term for the wheels I like. Lol.... that's OK, I think they're gorgeous. And I don't know what "FTL" means, but I'm guessing I'd be insulted if I did..... lol.
I don't give a shit. I like what I like....

FAR FROM SHADY! People with 100,000 dollar cars buy wheels from there and love them! Someone I know personally bought a 6K set of accessory wheels from BMW and bent all 5 of them (including the spare). The bought a new set from Wheels And Caps and on the same roads he has NOT bent a single one.
I'd be more willing to buy from wheels and caps than a dealer! If you check on their ebay page, they usually have slightly better deals to save 50 or so dollars. IMO if you can get a 6K set of wheels for 1K with better quality, why not!
FYI BMW owners LOVE wheels and caps!

tlhord,
Your biggest issue with these replica wheels is the quality grade of the material. I am 95% sure they are cast which is much more prone to bending, cracking, etc. Our OEM wheels are all made by Enkei, which uses much better technology when forming the wheel and they are not 100% cast. This increases durability, which is why you hear more horror stories about cheap cheap aftermarket wheels on the roads than OEM wheels--they were built to last.
I wouldn't. :twocents:

There are some real idiots that do nothing but waste peoples time with sophomoric jabs. Makes you wonder why they don't have better things to do with their time than stick their noses where they're not wanted, only to make comments that aren't even the slightest bit witty or funny. = dumb asshole to me.
However, I've been overwhelmed with how helpful most of the members are. I've only been here a week, and I've gotten some amazing help and advice. So valuable....

tlhord, I just agreed with you, not need to get nasty. That's the problem here, lately some members misunderstand and immediately pick on getting personal and insults. Then again, everyday a new real ............ joins in the forum, this time it was you!! Hope you have good luck with you knock off wheels.
Sorry man.... those comments were not about you. I enjoyed what you said, about getting picked on with abbreviations and not even knowing it!! That's me too!!!

Sorry if I misunderstood, I appreciate the clarification!! No offence intended!!

LOL.....
It's all good man - I got angrier than I needed to earlier. Just bothers me that someone would waste the time to basically say "You know the wheels you like? Well I think they suck!"
It's just not necessary. But hey - to each their own, right?

Enkei def. uses a special process called MAT which they use in their aftermarket wheels. However they do NOT use this process with their OEM wheels and they are regular cast wheels. The reason why it's so hard to bend or crack OEM rims is because of the amount of material/design they have. Compared to other wheels, the spokes and hub region of the TL's wheels are petty thick! Hell the spokes on my 760's wheels are thinner than the ones on the TL in depth!

I was joking around with you. To me, these wheels = loss because I think they're ugly. I didn't want to directly say it to you because I didn't want you to get butthurt. Low and behold, it seems you're getting butthurt anyway.

^^^ You have to realize not everyones tastes are the same .. the OP might like the looks ...Thats what makes us humans ... I think the OPs question was more to do with the vendor or quality.

Guys, let's stay on topic and not get personal. Everyone here has the right to express their opinion. No one needs to take anything personally. If someone doesn't like the wheels, they don't like the wheels-end of story...nothing more, nothing less.

Only the Charcoal Silver are priced low. The other two colors are in the typical price range. Suggests to me that they're having trouble moving Charcoal Silver because of the color.
Ask them for photos of the different colors to make sure these are what you want. The image on the page is ALY71763U.jpg, so doesn't indicate what the color shown is. My guess is they're showing Dark Hyper Silver, and that Charcoal Silver will be even darker.

I do to!
I like them MUCH better than my stock 5 double spoke wheels. AND I can keep using the brand new Bridgestones the dealership put on right before I bought it two weeks ago.
Put the AEM V2 on it today - love it.
RV6 j-pipe and HFPC are next. But ouch.... $1000 for the combo!!!!!! Wish it was about half of that....

How many typeS wheels has any1 looked at and said mmm those are knock offs?
I say DO IT especially if you already have tires (same predicament i'm in)
Matter of fact, i'm going to look into them. Might be able to buy some knock offs for cheap as long as they are not heavy as hell.
I'm interested in knowing the difference between the dark hyper silver and charcoal silver (Price is doubled on DHS)
If you get any pics, please post
Good luck with decision
Anyone know what state these guys are located?

Did you BUY the wheels?
I would say if them mention OEM, its probaly OEM LOOK, or replacement,
Also take in consideration YOU have to pay sales tax so add another $50 or so to your total.
Good luck
