^^^Yep...
I think with stretch, fender rolls/pulls being more mainstream, more and more people are stumbling in on purchasing wheels to get another member's desired look without fully understanding the work that goes into making them work and the things you have to deal with from having the look.

Losing that practicality and yes, I'm guilty of it too, kinda. I remember the first day I had my fenders rolled, touched fender liner and thought my car was going to explode. Now, I barely freak out, but still don't like the sound of rubbing.

Mounted my 530's on Falken ZE-912's. My TLs doesnt have a-spec kit , and dont plan to install one and its been pretty rare finding people without the kit with these rims.

Anyways ill post more pics, my offset is 20 btw.

ps.. Tires still has armoral foam on.

So I finally got mine installed today, 18x8.75 et 33. I bought some type-s center caps off a member here, and I tried the heat gun method. Problem is that they still come off easily. Am I missing something here? Should I be taking the whole wheel off and bending the tabs from the other side? Has anyone else had a problem with this?

I just got my centercaps too and will be trying this.
Have you tried using that metal thing in the back that come with the xxr centercaps? Those look like they would help keep them in

you may have heated them up too much. if they bend easily after heating then they are too hot. you essentially need them to have to be popped into the wheel, i got one tab in after heating them with a hair dryer and then tapped it with a rubber mallet and a towel. mine are not coming out haha

Nice. More pics, tire & suspension specs please! For +20 the poke doesn't seem too bad.

Dang! Yeah I heated them till they were soft, and then pushed them in with my thumb, and when they cooled right down, I tried to see how solid they were, and popped right out. Hopefully I can reform the tabs and go for another attempt. Thanks! Other than that, I think these look sick.

Yeah, also tried that metal clip, didn't do anything, but at that point, I deformed the tabs so badly anyways.

are you rubbing at all?
I have 225/40/18 with the same offset rims and I rub in the front up and down drive ways.
Its sorta just cutting the side of my tire

That's the same setup I'm going with, but I'm on Tein SAs now. After I get the wheels mounted, I'll be adjusting the height. But i've done my reading through this thread and this setup shouldn't rub or require a fender roll.

Looks good! About the same stance I plan on going, after the slight drop

Not sure who told you that, but if you plan on being as low as Deerole, you should absolutely have your fenders rolled. Your setup will be wider and lower than stock, so there's no reason not to roll your fenders.

That's pretty odd. I had to press my oem caps on with my palm and all my weight against it for them to pop on. What is the part # of the caps you got?
