LOL, same here man. I've only had them 2 weeks and I've been asked several times if they are Acura rims.

Well, I just pulled the pin and bought a set of these last night as well from e-bay. The 18x8.75 and the 33 offset in chromium black. Gonna put my 245/40/18" nitto invo's and hopefully all goes well, have a 1.5" drop with the brembo's. The guy on e-bay has one set of these left, when I phoned the head office for XXR that distributes them all over the place, they told me there would be a min. of a 60 day wait for these rims, so any place that tells you that they will be in within a month is lying. Just thought i'd fill you guys in.

No, I contacted Ensure Wheel, they told me they are the main distributors for XXR wheels. Sonic Motor on e-bay still has a set of these left for $589.00 with free shipping in the States with the same specs. It costs to ship to Canada, mine are gonna be sent out tomorrow. Can't wait!

It's funny...as soon as stock dwindles it's a mad dash to pay whatever to get em. At that price, hard to find a better looking set of shoes though.

Hey lookin good.... Is your car dropped? Im going to drop 1 inch and wanna go with 18 x 8.75 +20 wrapped in 225/40/18... Would a 1 inch drop be ok with this?

let us know if these clear the brembos. i know there was some discussion previously about whether they would or not. i've heard everything from 4 to 7 mm spacers were needed for the +35.

+1 interested in the answer.

The anecdotal evidence doesn't quite jibe. +35's required thicker-than-intuitively-needed spacers that pushed the wheel out further than the clearance a +33 offset without spacers would give. I know, backspacing, spoke design and all that, but it just doesn't sound quite right. I would love to just hear someone chime in, they bolted up +33's and they cleared (or didn't clear) the brembos.

If not the +33, I will go with 18x8.75 +20 w/ 235/40/18's...stock height now, future drop would be mild @ <1.5", no fender work. I should be GTG with that setup, right, no rubbing? Rear okay, borderline poke in front? I searched this thread, but lost track of the feedback and all the variables.

i have the 8.75 +20 with 235 tires and only a 1.5" drop on coils and I had to roll all fenders, and trim part of my inner front fenders. be safe and get 225 tires (you may still need a roll).

i wish i had done that from the start but my original feedback was that some members told me 235 with H&R springs had no rubbing. but every car is different and mine gave me a lot of headaches with the 235s. it's all worked out now but it took some effort for sure.

Appreciate the feedback. I'll be frank that I'm not in a rush to drop it, no matter how much forum-peer-pressure I get. In fact, I may never drop it...it's just not high on my priorities, especially with the 105K service looming. So in your opinion, would that practically eliminate the rubbing concern (with 235's) if it was stock height?

I'll definitely wait to hear some kind of confirmation with +33's and Brembos before doing anything.

Or go with +33 and some 5mm spacers if you need to. Then you can stay with 235 tires and not have it poke up front.

Yeah, as soon as I get these, I will let you guys know about the Brembo situation. Now i'm getting kinda worried, I'm planning on using my 245/40/18" tires and hope I have no issues. I mean, realistically speaking, it's only 3/4" extra in width, it's the offset i'm worried about.

1/8" can mean the difference between rubbing or not. So 3/4" is actually a lot. Are your fenders rolled? Worst case you'd have to get some 3mm or 5mm spacers and roll your fenders a little. BUT it will fit. With thin spacers you won't necessarily need longer studs either.

Just ordered my set today 18x9.75 all around.
Going to go with the 225 tires all around. I was thinking 215 up front, but that keeps me from rotating tires which sucks.

Anyone got a link to blue steel lugs that ship to canada? The one guy your all ordering from only ships within US

btw thanks for all your help. This thread made my decision for me.

Seeing that you're from Canada. Where did you order your 530's from?
I'm trying to find some Canadian shops that sell them at a reasonable price.

I ordered them off nlmotoring, but there is a one month wait
The hub rings and rims with shipping came out to 780.
A local shop I found wants 875 out the door for just the rims. I guess Ill see if they can hook up a deal on tires and go from there

Well, i'm Canadian too, came out to $789.00 for the rims, the hubcentric rings and the lugs, so all in all, still not a bad price, should be here by monday, 6 days from now. 1010 tire was more, can't remember off hand how much more but when I placed the order on easter friday, they were closed. You can scroll back to see the specs that I ordered!

Just talked to a local Perfection Tire and they said they couldn't get them for another 8 weeks. Unfortunately I will not be able to wait that long.

Has anyone made these work with 235/40 tire size?

I ask because I'm curious what wheel specs would work with that size...I really would like to stay with the stock a-spec tire size because the ride quality would stay stock.

Something like 18x8.75 +20 with 235/40/18 tires?

I had 18x9.5 wheels +25 and had no problems with that tire size...

insight?

TEST FIT UPDATE. The XXR530 18x8.75 +33 DOES NOT clear the Brembos. We test fitted them, this morning, and they will need a minimum of a 6mm spacer to clear. We thought at first we could just grind a little bit off the edge of the caliper but it would probably not be prudent considering how much material would have to be removed. I am going to see if I can find some spacers then we can figure out what tires clear. The rims are very nice, however, and have plenty of concave, in my opinion.

Also, as stated before, the 18x8.75 +20 clear but they have a lot of poke on an A-Spec lowered suspension, which is about 3/4" to 1". Also, anything larger than a 225/40-18 tire rubs, even on the A-Spec.

Thanks Rockstar and I agree these rims are amazing for the cost. I love looking at my car with them, and they get alot of attention and questions. Here's some recent pics I took in Germany as it began to snow.

Where did you order them from? Nlmotoring is making me wait and im not sure i want to. Also wondering if there are duties and taxes at the door. A local shop quoted me 860 cash for the rims. But even they said id have to wait 2-4 weeks.
Id feel better going with nlmotoring, they seem legit. I guess depends on the duties and taxes at the door?

Either way looks like i wont be getting them till may. It was -12 here last night, so im not missing anything yet lol ill do my other summer mods till they arrive

Everytime i see your car it makes me wonder if i should have gone with the 8.75 all around. Our cars are identical and i love the way it looks on yours. Plus, no fender work or rubbing issues! I still have a month to decide before they come in. Right now my orders for 9.75 all around

Thanks man, the 8.75 in my opinion fit perfect but keep in mind I'm on springs and not coils. Since you have coils and can go lower I'm sure the 9.75 will fit fine on yours. Not sure about fenders though as my 8.75 are pretty close to the fenders now. If I ran 9.75 I'm almost positive they would rub in the rear. Either way I'm sure you'll love the wheels lol

I'll be ordering mine from there as well. They quoted approx $810 just for the rims shipped.
They also said it's an extra $10 to stretch tires on the rims which sounds weird. 215/40/18 on the 8.75's, and 225/40/18 on the 9.75's.

I'll know a definite quote by this week if they get back to me.

I bought mine from a place called sonic motor, found them on e-bay but called them to place the order. so from start to finish they will take 8 days to reach me. Sucks that the 33's do not clear. Hopefully my 245's will work with what I have. The weather has been up and down here in Calgary too. Yesterday it was +19, today +2.

I'm in Calgary as well. I really hope the backorder on these isn't 60 days. If it is then I might just have to stay hellasunk with my aspec rims...

I was going to wash my car on Monday but looked at the forecast and decided otherwise.

What offset did you canadian guys decide to go with?
And how long of a wait were you quoted by the places you ordered from?
I paid 780 in total with hub rings from nlmotoring, but im willing to pay a bit more to have them shipped sooner.

Also for the guys that asked, im on coils, in the winter im dropped about 1.5' and 2.5' in summer on ht spec 1. I ordered 9.75 all around and looking to stretch 225/40 on them.
I was looking at nankin tires (really cheap) for my summer set. But ill shop around for better tires. Heard good things about hancocks.

As for lugs, do not order aluminum as they will chip easily and may rub the inside of your wheels. I will be ordering the steel 12x1.5 lugs off ebay. They dont ship to canada, but thankfully i have family in the states.

So i talked to the motion place mentioned above. I was quoted 930 shipped for rims and a month and a half waiting period lol
Even with duties nlmotoring will be the cheaper option. Tires id say go local and save on shipping

Sonic motors is almost identical to nlmotoring. Boyh out of stock as well. Im on backorder for nl but can cancel. Let me know if you find anywhere that has them in stock.
And fyi, i was told that duties from
The states to canada is around $25, which isnt bad at all. So total shipped to door with hubcentric rings will be about $800

It will center the wheel on your hub, instead of you guessing where the wheel would sit centered on the hub. The XXR 530's are 73.1mm and the Acura hub is 64.1mm, so you'll need a 73.1 to 64.1 hubcentric ring. I prefer plastic rings and put a little anti-sieze on it before I put it in.
