Xxr 530

so who is getting these first?

I'm sure fitment will be similar with the 527.. so don't think we need to discuss that any further. These are beautiful wheels with (what looks like) a decent amount of concave

would rubbing be a problem with 9.75.. would probably run 225/40/18 or if possible with the mild drop i have 235/40/18

^ If youre concerned about fitment look for the XXR 527 fitment thread, it was discussed many times over there and this wheel will fit exactly the same.

Short story, 9.75 +20 wont rub if youre rolled and stretch

yup. I ran a 9.5 +22 with 225/40 without rolling fenders and it fit without rub.

I'm thinkin of 18x8.75 +20 square fitment

alright whoever does choose to get these rims...get 9.75 +20 ALLLLL around

whatever is said in the other thread about shaving fenders n such is just extra work you do NOT need to do.

I am runnin 19x9.5 +22 on a 225 tire...and I am pretty low.

The rears are rolled completely but i left the front stock...you will rub a little over extreme dips but your fenders will naturally mold to you rims then you will be fine for every future rim setup.

Those will poke, you're running about 1/2" wider than the 8.75 et 20, which is a few mm shy of flush in the front. You're going to need to stretch to the point of stupidity to make it work without running some change in camber in the front.

I personally do not advocate my wheel/tire combo slamming in to my fender to "form" the necessary clearance. That's just being sloppy.

^haha I just said to her the XXR 530 is out and before I could finsih she said NO!

235 or 245 can work, it just depends on how low you want to go. If I do get a set, I'll be getting the same size and offset. IMO that is perfect for the car as it looks clean and at the same time the ride quality is retained.

Love these rims, reminds me of the forgestars. Just wish they made it in 19" so I wouldn't need new tires!

i was going to shave my fenders but Bforbrian actually recommended this to me and we all know the vast amount of setups hes been through. This is not sloppy in anyway. Shaving your fenders and messing with the formation and strength of how the oem fender was built is sloppy IMO. When the tire hits the fender it is only the inner part that you cut out thats being hit. It does not affect the tire in anyway nor does it affect the appearance of your fender. Only when you go over extreme bumps will you hit the very inner portion of the lining that you cut off. My rear fendors are rolled paper thin to the point where its basically non existant and my next setup I am sure I can run an 11 inch wide rim in the rear which I plan on doing. By refusing to shave the front fenders not only did I avoid having to put some clear coat on the shaved portion....but I also kept the strength and formation of the OEM fender shape.

Good question jwr0ng. So if I have 235/40 or245/40 the same drop as TLDude I need to work with the front camber? So how many negative camber do I need?

BTW TLDude I love your set up.

Were you forced that amount of camber or prefer it?

what are factory spec limits for camber? -1.8 and -2.5 doesn't seem that much at all. That was close to my specs after I lowered the TL and drove like that for 3 years with not too much camber wear.

That's the best the guy could get it with the toe in spec

Indeed, once your toe is in spec you should only have minor camber wear. My tires are still in pretty good shape

TIres are still like new with minor wear on the side. Toe is what eats tires, not camber

I know toe is the main thing to watch out for, but I just don't want to have it out of factory settings.. the most I would want to go is -1.5

You'll probably need upper arms for the front and upper and lower for the rear to keep everything in spec and be that low

what size wheels and tires did you go with on your car? also, did you have to do any special stuff for fitment? how's your camber?
