Will 20s fit?
Im looking into some 20s for my 04 TL 5spd auto.
I was thinking 20x8.5 with a 245/35/20 (26.8" tall) or 255/30/20 (26.0" tall) if either will fit.
Id put 19s, but my friend with a TSX just put 225/35/19 on it and they barely look big enough, so i figure 20s on the TL since it is a bigger car.
Has anyone had any success with 20s or seen a 04 TL on 20s? If so, what was the wheel width, offset and tire dimensions.
Thanks a lot!

It has been done. I've seen at least 2 people on here do it. Do a search to find their specs. By the way, you won't get much support re: 20" wheels around here. Most of us feel it's too much for the TL. But hey, to each his own. Good luck.

i was looking into 20's also.. REST ASSURE.. that you will not feel comfort. REALLLY REALLY FEEL THE ROAD... I dont really agree on putting 20" spinners or crhome plate. look for spokes, and if anything . I think silver or any colored rim that matches the car... NO CHROME.. maybe.........maybeeeee just on the black one.. i am recolecting a couple of pics of rims and i am going to post them today in about 1 hour. to see which one i get. But i might want 20's. But like you.. i have been trying to see the info to see if they fit. i know they fit from height.. BUT ITS THE STICKING OUT THAT CANT BE HAPPENING, CAUSING RUBBSSSSS... I THINK IT HAS TO BE 20X8

20's on 04 TL
I've been researching same thing. I've seen two 04 TL's on Dubs but the problem is you won't be able to put lowering springs like from Comptech. 20's will raise the car a little which in my opinion makes the car lose it's sporty look. If you don't care to lower than 20x8.5 will work with 245/35/20 tires. I'm not sure about the offset. Be sure to send me pics of your ride if you outfit with rims. Good luck.

hey.. watt Eibach do you have becuase there is the Pro Kit which lowers 1" all around and the Sport Line which goes about 1.7 or something. how is yours 1.25 front and 1 in the back? This would take care of the problem that everyone has that they complain about the front looking higher than rear. How so.. explain please..... thanks... because i am going to purchase the Pro Kits... and its 1"... not 1.25"

And let me guess. You clowns forcing dubs on will all join cardomain, the gheyest car forum and ask everyone "hey come check out my pics".
Dubs=trucks and big body cars. Othewise you look like a damn fool.

20'in spinners
first of all slickest the tl is a big body car and don't hate because you may not be able to afford to make your car look nice 20's are for people who have the money to buy them plain and simple! you need to stop thinking that just because you type a couple of words in a forum that you going to change anyones view of what looks good and what doesn't. 20's on a tl is NOT ghetto if it was i'm sure sarona wouldn't be sponcering me! ask yourself this before you decide to make another negative comment 1. who sponcers you 2. how many car shows have you won first place and best of show in.
okay now that i've got that out of the way to answer the question about what springs i used i used ebach 1.25 fr 1.25 rear because i wanted the lower look the front was fine but i ended up having to put rubber spacers in my back springs approx $4.00 a pack from auto zone the ride wasn't bumpy like i thought it might be still rides smooth. if you use your factory rear springs you may not need spacers i haven't tried that yet, but also keep in mind i have a big speaker box in my trunk 3 12's two amps and a spare tire so that the main reason i needed rubber spacers. TIRES my tires are the new nitto 225/35/20 i was suprized at how smooth my ride still is with the tires and springs. depending on your rim size you may need spacers for your front rims only if so you'll need the thinest spacer which is as thin as a pencil pep boys has them approx $3.00 a pack you'll only need one on each side but the amazing thig is the rim doesn't stick out it still tucks under
