Where to find A-SPEC springs (other than the dealer)

Anyone?

Stupid dealer keeps trying to tell me that in order to get the springs, you must purchase the 'whole' a-spec kit. ALL INCLUSIVE! He said the only thing that you can order individually are the wheels.

nuts.

where can I get them?

Just the springs, is going to be hard to find. Most people have them on their cars. The only way Acura will let the Dealers order the springs is if you already have the Aspec suspension and your car and they break.

You could try ebay or the black market section here.

Put up WTB for the springs, maybe someone has a pair sitting around. You could also search the black market and see if you can find a used Apsec suspension and just use the springs.

On more thought, you can get just the suspension from Las Vegas Acura. I did about 4 months ago.

Do you know if they would ship? Would it worth getting them from LV Acura and paying shipping or should I just look elsewhere?

Ultimately, I only really want at most ~1" drop. That's my main motive behind wanting the A-Spec springs. Are there any other options out there that arn't more than 1" drop? Ones that don't require new shocks or struts?

Ok you keep saying Aspec springs. What you're wanting is the Apsec suspension. Las Vegas will ship, I think I paid $700 shipped.

ok, i must be misunderstanding this.

eibach sells 'springs' for the TL, but the a-spec is a 'suspension kit'. Do you put the eibachs over the stock struts? Can you simply buy the a-spec springs and have them put on the factory struts?

The Aspec suspension is a complete strut and spring combo. yes, you could just get the Eibach spring and put it on the factory struts.

The Aspec suspension is springs and struts. You can buy aftermarket springs and put OEM struts.

I do not know if you can buy just the springs that Acura has made for the Aspec and put them on the original struts. But I don't think you can, as I said in the early post about already owning the suspension.

Also while you looking to do this, you will want to replace the OEM rear sway bar. This will stiffen the ass end of the car nicely.

You might want to talked to Josh at www.excelerateperformance.com he is a vendor for AZ.com. I got my RSB from him. He has postings in the sponsor sale section of the black market. You can also PM him: board name; Excelerate.

Actually, the Tein High Techs are a good equivilant to the Aspec "springs alone". They drop the car a similar amount (3/4's of an inch) and firm up the ride a similar amount (see excelerate's ride equivilancy tables (A-spec=3, Tein High Techs=3 for ride firmnes whereas the original stock suspension is a 1).
