Hey guys i have an 2008 tl 5at non type s and i was wondering how good the transmission is in the car compared to like the 04s. Tts a fun car to use its speed, but the real question is how much of a beating could the transmission take with out getting damaged.

The 07-08 apparently has the RL tanny, much better than what the earlier TL's have. I wouldn't run the balls off your TL

Wrong section, but the V6 honda transmissions in the base models are pretty fragile if my experience means anything. 3 in my 06 and 3 in our 00 Odyssey. I dont think beating on it makes much of a difference. If its one thats gonna fail it will no matter how you baby it. The Type S has the RL type tranny and seems to be more robust.
