Sure it wasn't the other way around? The CLS wheels are 17x7 +55 and the TLS wheels are 17x6.5 +55. The CLS wheels are supposed to cause some problems with rubbing, although no one that has them has had any problems.

I like the TLS wheels better, the spokes don't flare out as much. Less curb rash.

Im sure the TL-S wheels should fit.
Ed, has a 99 and he mounted a CL-S with a 235-45-17 tire and there was no rubbing.

Indeed, but remember he also had his dealer mount the cl-s rim with 215/50-17 and it didn't fit. I think the '99 has less clearance than the '00-'02.

If the CLS 7" wide rim would fit our cars, why wouldn't the TLS 6.5" wide rims fit? I'm still looking for all season tires for my car, can't find much in 225/45 like I have now...may harden my bawls a little more and go with 235's... I KNOW they fit because i've tested them, but something inside is telling me to be careful.... Oh well..

Hey Ed, Hows does the CL-S rims fit? Does it stick out past the fender? I'm looking for CL-S rims due to the fact that it's wider, and I can put low profile tires on them. More traction...

My CL-s wheels fit just fine with no rubbing (215/50-17). Tucks under the fenders nicely.

It's just inside the fender....it doesn't stick out at all..I'm not sure how well you can see in this picture, but it's well inside the fender...
