TL Softer Ride Possible?

Hi, looking at buying a 2004 or 2005 TL and thought the ride was fine but would like it to be a softer ride. I don't need a high performance TL but one with a cushier ride. Is there anyway to get a softer suspension on a TL?

Thanks,
Tom.

The TL has a sport tuned suspension, feeling the road is inevitable, the only way you'll get a softer feel is getting better tires, the stock suspension is as cushiony as it can be.

Get some squishy Continentals for tires, even switch to 16"s if you want to spend on rims. That should help some, but yes, these cars are more sport than cush.

I just chatted with the Lexus dealership about a used '04 TL they had on their lot. Turns out it was owned by fifty-something couple and they just couldn't take the ride anymore. The dumped it and rode away into the sunset in their new ES330...happy as clams. If you're looking for a nice ride, I'd recommend you do the same.

Just remember that you can't put 16" rims on the 6MT, but given that you are looking for a cushy ride, I doubt you're considering the 6MT.

LOL, I never even considered for a MINUTE that this guy wouldn't get the slush box.

Yeah, the TL is a sports sedan

it was designed to feel the road!

I thought the ride was a bit stiff in the begining. After 10,000 miles, the ride feels much softer. I don't think it's due to my getting used to the ride. I switch between a '92 integra and the TL. The Integra cushioning was better than the TL in the begining. Now, they are about the same. I'm not comparing the handling of the suspensions, just how cushy the rides are.

I think you are just getting use to the car. Suspenisions just don't go from firm to soft in 10k miles
