Tire of the harsh ride on 19"

I live in jersey very close to nyc and the roads around here couldnt suck more... anyhow i had my ronjon 19" inspyre for about a year and a half and lately since the tires wore down and the winter is here it is braking my back. And i also have two heavy 12" subwoofers in the trunk with big amps and that brough the back down a little bit wich doesnt help my suspension either. I dont know im really tired of it. I wonder how all u guys feel about it and i was thinking maybe selling them and convert to 18" with a slightly higher tire profile wich would make the ride a little more comfortable but how much, am i gonna notice anything......the bad thing when u go with 18" probably gotta lower it then wich makes the car harsher again

I really hate the look of smaller wheels but like the ride thoe

what should i do to keep the most comfortable ride ass possible while going 18" 19" wheels...... maybe a certain brand of tire

anything .............??

I have 245/35 kumho ZR 19's and they ride kinda rough. Didnt seem like they were that rough when I first had them installed, that was about 2 years ago. Seems like my suspension has changed on me or something but it is all probably just in my head.

Bigger sidewall on a 19 is going to throw the speedo out .. to get more side wall he will have to have less wheel .. I have 18's with Kuhmo tires and the ride hardly changed form stock.

honestly.. you need a tire with a big sidewall like jesstzn said. Maybe go with 18 or a 17. Then sell me your inspyres. =)

if u're going to go to 18's and lower.. just keep the 19's and be happy. You wont gain much. Btw, are yours chrome? I have a new found fascination with chrome wheels, and with the inspyres.

Im in the same situation with you Bukva... I got 19's 245/19/30 w/ a JL 13w7 sub & a 1000/1 JL Amp, Spare tires, power cap, and alot of wood custimizing my system... Definitely making my suspension sag... I tried using my friends 18's w/ 40 profile but almost the same ride... Not much of a big difference...

I'd stick with the 19's and get some new tires. I got some toyo proxes on mine and it rides fine. I had some nitto 555's on my other set of 20's and the ride was ok as well so i would say either go with some nitto's or some toyo's and you'll be set. If you go to the 18's you'll always notice the difference in size when you look at your car.

Right now, I'm running Kumho 245/45 on my stock 17s and the ride isn't really rough at all. The sidewall provides enough cushioning for the rim itself and provides for a comfier ride which is what you're looking for. If I was you, I would probably get 245/45/18. I have to buy more tires for when I put my A-Specs back on when the winter is over and I'm considering getting another set of 245/45s. I really like how they ride compared to the the 235/40s that I used to ride on.

would i gain anything from a wider tire like 255 all around. The only problem the steering would get even havier and be more exposed to road imperfactions such as pulling left and right but then again i dont have the experience ........so who knows

A 255 / 35 is only going to give you 1/10th" increase in sidewall height .. so no benifit.

well im kind of due to changing tires since mine are almost gone and that is the main reason my ride has become so uncomfortable. But since im gonna spend all that money for new tires i thught maybe it was a good time to change the whole setup. But i rather keep the 19" wheels if i can find a good comfortable tire. All that crap about high performance tires is bull- since how many of us really use that potential of a tire......

so i need a tire that is mainly queit and comfy and has good grip to a certain extend....
