A big box of candy arrived at my doorstep today...

Anyone have suggestions or comments before I install this weekend?
- Damper adjustment settings (clicks)
- Ride height (F/R)
My preferability is a bit softer than stock suspension

A bit softer than stock...I'd go with about 20 clicks from soft, so start all the way at soft, and adjust 20 clicks towards stiff.
Ride height depends on your taste...I can share a few pics...
Ugly picture but this is a 1.425" drop all around

This is probably about a 2" drop...

Here my rear is slammed, 2.6" drop

And my front is about 1/4" from slammed...
I hope those pictures help you, Tannon.
If you plan on maxing them out I would run a little stiffer damping settings.
I was running about 24 clicks from soft, the other night I made it 28 in hopes to reduce rubbing.

Great info. Once I get wheels in the spring I will go with the 2" drop all around. But, since im gonna lower with the stocks for now, I will settle for about 1.75" drop. Reason being is because I wanna make measurements with the coils installed before getting wheels to get the right specs. Although I am almost guaranteed that 19x9.5+22 is flush af!
I am aware that fendor roll is needed. But what about 15mm (F) and 20mm (R) spacers? I am assuming it all depends on the wheel spec.

19x9.5 +22 would be very flush, and very nice.
but yeah, it all depends on the wheels you're getting. that'll determine the need for spacers. my advice is to just get wheels made/bought that are already flush out of the box so that there is no need for spacers.

Wtf, Tein is definitely fucking weird. When I first ordered the coils they said 32-way adjustable and had the correct lowering specs, now the specs are gone and they say 16...
I've personally adjusted my damping about 3 times now, mine are 32-way adjustable, how else would I be able to click it 32 times?

How long did it take you guys to complete the installation? Did you use the DIY coilover thread link to help you out along the way? (Even though it is for HT-Specs)

I forgot what they are for but Tein's instructions are VERY straightforward and it makes the install go very smoothly.
I'm still a newbie on this side (suspension). I remember a long while back people talking bout tsx and tl sus being interchangeable, is this true? If so, could you order the tsx tien flex pillowball upper mounts and install them on the tien sa for the tl?
You definitely don't know what your talking about!.

Are interchangeable just have to use tl top hats..I wouldn't personally do it

Okay so EAT and I were partially right, just got this email back from TEIN.
Thank you for your inquiry. Our "Street Advance" coilover kit is 16 and 32 way damping force adjustable. This a common confusion with most consumers. With out our EDFC system our dampers are only 16 way adjustable. With our EDFC system installed the dampers can be adjusted 16 ways or 32 ways for a more precise adjustment.
In regards to the ride height measurements. If set to our recommended settings you will achieve a -1.7" drop in the front and rear. However in front you can achieve a Max Low of -2.9" or Max High of -1.1". In the rear you can achieve a Max Low of -2.6" and a Max high of -1".

So I lowered my front-end today lol. I only had a few hours so I made the best of it.
Im dropped only 1.25", but it looks lower because the rears are still stock. I didnt want it to look too ghetto and sunk under the fender considering the stock offsets are +43. It just reduced the gap. I like the look a lot, but obviously I need to lower the rear when I get to it! I'll post pics tomorrow if I have time.
ps - I noticed a couple pops on my passenger side of suspension. I hope this is just my stock top hats setting in because they were somewhat worn...

Yes I am still that low, one does not simply raise their car
I had to roll my fenders once I got this low.
Specs are 18x9 +30 wrapped with 235/40/18. I'm about 1/4" from maxing the front and 2.6" rear.

Nice. how's the ride? what do you have your dampers set at? I assume you have camber kit any issues with alignment?
Rides awesome, front is pretty stiff as of now, the rears are around 24 from soft. I have a rear camber kit, giving me -1.5 and my fronts are natural sitting at -2.0 and -1.5.
I am a little disappointed that TEIN did not include these small, yet essential parts within the shipment. They were only about $45 for all four top hat kits. Why wouldnt they at least say that these needed to be purchased seperately, instead of potentially damaging my entire suspension? Oh well. I'll be installing the rears this weekend hopefully.
Ok so I just finished re-installing my front TEINS the correct way with the appropriate parts. When these companies suggest that you can use your old stock top hats instead of ordering new ones, then what you will have to assemble from the stocks are ONLY the top hat, its rubber bushings, and one washer. What you need for correct installation for the TEINS are the top hat, its rubber bushings, 3 washers, and its collar to slip through the top hat. Last weekend I assembled my front TEINs with what was given from the stock suspension, assuming that was all I'd need to use. (The rubber bushings seemed worn). The next day I was hearing rattles/pops every bump I hit. It felt awful. I checked to see what was wrong on just one side, and I saw the bushing simply resting on my spring, completely out of the top hat fitting. I went to my local Advanced Auto Parts store and and they had 4 top hat kits in stock. Perfect! So just tonight I was able to re-install the fronts with the necessary parts and now it rides like stock.

I can understand why Tein doesn't include all of those parts especially when they have coils for many different types vehicles. But I do think they could maybe do a little better job with their instructions. Glad to hear you got it resolved though.
