Suspension Gurus

Whatsup Aziners,

Do you think there is anyway possible....I mean anyway possible, I can modify the TL coilovers to fit the RL?

any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

And why I don't buy the RL coilovers?
because they cost 2100$

Can you post a pic of your front/rear shocks, especially where they mount to the hub?

Hopefully this can help you out, i am only posting for the RL and not the TL since there are loads of information if you search for them. This is the RL fronts

And the rear

Hope that helps a little.

Looks quite a lot different at the mounting points to me.

+1. Fronts look like they might fit, but you'd lose the "headlight leveling sensor" unless you fab on a new bracket.

Rears are what I doubt will fit. For the TL, instead of a single flange nut holding the shock to the hub, the shock sits between two mounting points, then a nut is inserted through the points and shock.

I'd say just save up the extra $1000 and do it the right way.

Highly doubt it bro. I wouldn't mod the suspension. Think about it. Your car's weight on it.....lives at stake. Doesn't sound safe to me. Balance, how it can throw off the dynamics of the car. Suspension geometry and engineering is complex stuff. I think $1.5k extra is worth it!

Just buy a TL already.

I meant $1k extra. Modding a suspension would not be cheap anyways. More headaches.

Word Shawn....we could probably make the fronts work, deff not the rears. Save up and get the H&R coilovers for your car.
