Stock vs S-type

Hey guys! I just got new Michelin tires on my 05 TL. I was looking at getting new wheels but I desperately needed tires due to some front suspension wearing my tires too quickly, making it not safe to drive. Long story short, the tires cost $800 so I don't want to buy tires again. Does anyone know if the 05 stock wheels are the same size as the s-type wheels, so I can just switch the tires over to the s type wheels? Thamks!

They are both 17x8. Not sure about the offset of the Type-S wheels, base wheels are +45 I think. That may also be the same.

OP, where are you planning to get the Type-S wheels from? OEM or replica?

Sometimes OEM are worth it. I bought a second set of Type-S rims for my car last year and the parts dept had them on sale because they were trying to get rid of them. I paid $650 for the set of four OEM Type-S gunmetal rims.
