A-spec Sensor install issue

I purchased a brand new set of a-specs that included center caps and sensors and my local tire shop is telling me that the sensor/valve stems do not tighten on the wheel. THey say the thread bottoms out before the sensor tightens to the rim. They tried using my old sensors and had the same problem. Is there something special that needs to be done with the a-spec wheels?

This is the '06 a-spec wheel pkg that includes center cap and sensor. Part # 08W18-SEP-202G.

Guess you've got to go down and see what they are talking about. You know how the sensors fit into the wheel as you've removed the OE sensors, so take a look to see if there is a problem. Make certain they are using the seal on both sides of the wheel.

they are using the seals on both sides...they are brand new in the pkg and after calling the dealer where i purchased them seemed to know what they were saying and told me to have them crank on the nut and that they will tighten. The shop is afraid that they'll snap, so I guess I'll head down and see what the problem is.
