Should I purchase these rims?
Hey guys I have a question for you. A friend of mine sold his Tsx and has a set of Honda HFP rims (18 inch). He wants to sell them for 500 bucks which is a great deal but the tires are in ok condition. I was hesitant because i just put tires on my car and wish i waited but still the rims are worth it.

Ive been trying to look and see if anyone has put these on a TL and i cant find em.
Thats a pic of them on the TSX
I have the 2008 tl with stock rims and wanted something close to type s rims without getting type s rims. Good deal?

I believe they are a 45 offset but only 7" wide. If so, they will move the outside of the wheel/tire in about 1/2".
Your call.
What make and size tires are on the Honda wheels?
I'd also recommend a 245/40-18 for the TL or TLS as they would retain the OE diameter, but they are to be used on a 8"-9.5" width wheel.

Theyre pretty pricey tires but what do u think about the fit on the TL? I had a friend who really screwed up his Is250 brand new with crap aftermarket rims.

A +45, 7" wide wheel with a 215mm tire is going to look really bad on the TL. It'll look like like a fat girl on roller skates. Even the stock +45, 8" wheel with 235mm looks too sunken into the wheel well imo.

I bought them. Figured I would try them out and if not i could easily sell them and make a quick buck. Is the fit really that bad to the point where i shouldnt even bother with putting them on?

But, if you've got 'em throw 'em on and see what you think. Might as well.

Your speedo is going to be off becayse the tires are .6" shorter ... also just about an inch narrower.
I like the wheel style ... I just wouldn't run domething smaller than OEM unless it s winter setup.

Not a bad looking wheel, but I'd go with at least 27mm front/32mm rear spacers. You could even go 30/35 without any issues. You've lost a lot of track with these wheels.

to be honest with you the drive didnt change much. In fact, i picked a friend up and he didnt notice the rims were even on. After adding spacers i think itll be a lot better but im definitely satisfied with the performance thus far.
