Shimmer after lowering car

Shimmer after lowering car
I started getting a shimmer at about 5mph from take off, it lasts for about two seconds. The shake is like it's straining (you know, like your last pull up at the end of your work out). I started to notice it right after I got it lowered. I'm thinking and hoping it may be something simple like the hub centric rings which I'm checking out tomorrow but just looking for any other ideas...
I do have aftermarket wheels and didn't notice it with them on before I got it lowered.
Mods, I'd like to keep this in the general forum for at least this weekend if you'll allow it, I feel it will give me the greatest number of responses

Could just be axles....Lowered my car with NO other changes (still riding on factory wheels) and I notice a slight shimmy/vibration between 15-20mph only upon acceleration.
Others have noticed this too. Don't know if new axles fixed their problems. Hopefully its nothing that will cause damage.

How much did you raise yours? I'm at about a finger now and I still feel it. You think they'll still cover it under warranty even after the cars been lowered?

It doesn't hurt to ask them if they would. Hell, if you wanted to, switch it back to stock and tell them the axles are shit and need replacing, then go back to your lowered setup.
