rolling quarter panels

I posted this a while back but I didn't get much feedback. Is it safe for me to roll my quarter panels? I know whats involved but I'm worried about the paint cracking. I had both quarter panels painted last year so the paint isn't old. Can I do it without heating up the paint? I don't know anyplace that does it in Brooklyn, NY.

you can drop by www.tirerack.com for their info...they will rent you a HAWEKA fender lip roller. it seems pretty easy to use...remove the rear wheel, bolt the device on, and roll away at it. it comes with a training video and heat gun. i believe you will need to put a fully refundable deposit of $750...the cost of shipping the tool from TR and back is all that you pay.

shaving your lips might be safer and anyone with a compressor and airsaw (and a steady hand!) can do it.

good luck!
