Rims Suggestions for New 05 TL Owner... Me!

hello everyone! I'm new on here on acurazine cause my buddy has been telling me so much about this site and said all of you are always so helpful! So I finally found the right TL w/ all the features and color I wanted. It's a '05 base model w/ black exterior, gray interior, nav, and 5speed AT. So it's pretty much all stock and just added tint to the windows... it's still stilling on the stock 17" rims. I'm looking for some good suggestions on what kind of rims to buy. I'm looking at either 18" or 19", however, I'm trying to make my car somewhat of a low profile car. So I don't want it to be too shiny and trying to keep the cost down. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Also, my buddies are saying if I do get 18 or 19s... I should lower the car in order to work w/ the rims... any truth or thoughts on that? hope to here from all of you and thanks again!

See that Picture/link in the upper right? RonJon has some very nice rims in all the sizes you mentioned. That's just one of MANY MANY places ot look for rims. Rim preference is a personal one.

I like the RonJon site because they show you TLs in many colors with their rims so you can see if you like the look.

Happy hunting, please keep us posted on your upgrades.

If you do put rims on the car, most people are going to tell you to drop it....

I just got an 05 as well....Hopefully I get to drive it this week...been in the shop for 3 weeks...anyhow...

Go the the black Market section here, there are always wheels for sale....I got mine from a member on here...I went with an Aggressive look though and got 20's....but they were a great deal and I couldnt pass on it...

Congrats on your purchase!!! From the little that I've drivin the car moving it around the shop, I can tell you that Im going to love this car!!!!

Peace

Welcome and congrats on the purchase! Rims and a drop seem to be a requirement around here. Personally, I'd suggest that you buy my wheels. They're RonJon's so they're designed specifically for your car, and they have a very classy (ie. not boy racer) design. Price is comparable to what you'd spend on something else that's new but is nowhere near as nice. Regardless of what you get, just be sure to post pictures when you get it!
