removal technique?

hey guys, I have an 06 TL with 24k miles...I tried to change the brake rotors and pads yesterday, but encountered an issue. I couldn't remove the caliper bolts off, it was hard as hell. Is there a technique in removing it? I already soaked it with WD40. I just end up changing my brake pads. Tips anyone? Thanks all...

i just did my wife's Mitsubishi Eclipse yesterday, i had the same problem. i used penetrating oil and an old bike seat post as a breaker bar. make sure you turn the steering wheel to get better access and leverage to the bolt heads.

do you recommend using air tools? I have a compressor with an impact wrench.

There are 2 phillips head screws that hold the rotor to the hub. I used a hand impact tool to get them loose, you can pick one up at sears or any auto store. then use 2 bolts to thread into the other 2 holes to release the rotor from the hub. There is a thread with pics on here so you'll have to do a search. It was written up by Bearcat94 it illustrates everything i just mentioned.

Use a hammer. when i change my father's 10+ years old Avalon and Camry rotors. i couldn't remove the bolts. Just make sure that the wrench holds against bolt tightly and use the hammer and tap on the handle. the bolt should come lose easly. no power tool needed!!

I took one of my big ol breaker bars and got it loose with no effort. They are on there pretty tight and as for the rotors it has aready been explained.
