Re-torque

Did anyone re-torque their aftermarket wheels after the first 50-100 miles?

I re-torqued it and 1 or 2 lug nuts on each wheel was loose.
I guess it is a good idea to re-torque after the first 50-100 miles.

They definately do loosen up. If you do them yourself be sure to be careful not to break your KEY... Most wheel places don't torque the locking lug nut down as tight because they know how fragile they can be.

I'm not sure this is good or bad practice, but seems to be true at the places I haunt.

what exactly is re-torque?

is it just to tighten up the lug nuts once in a while? or maybe after people put on rims?

When you first put your aftermarket wheels on or if you just rotated your tires you have to torque them to 80lbs. After 50-100 miles you should re-torque them because they will get settled in and the lug nuts might become loose.
This should be done whenever you take your wheels off.

You would need to use a torque wrench. You can adjust it to a certain lbs and when it reaches the lbs it will click.

If you didn't torque the lug nuts on your TL to the correct lbs, I would suggest you go buy a torque wrench and tighten it to the correct lbs immediately.
