question about rims

if i go with a staggered 20 by 10 inch rim in the back with a 245/30 tire, will it rub with out rolling the fender? my car is also dropped 2.0 f and 1.4 b

lol what is the offset??
As i have 19x9.5 +30 and running a 230 30 tire and i am flush with the fender and i went ahead and rolled my fenders just so i didn't mess the wheel up if it did almost come in contact with the fender...

SO! to be on the safe side.... I would DEF recommend it

oh and i just read with a 245 tire a fender roll is DEF required and i would pull the fender some too

I will put it this way. I am dropped around the same as you and i ran a 18x9 +30 with 245 tire with fender roll and still scrubbed some

Even still, with a 10" wide rim, you are just about guaranteed to rub without fender work.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offset_%28wheel%29

Check out that link as to you WILL need to know this inorder for it to work on our cars. Our cars offset usually goes between +30 to +45. Just cause you run +30 on one wheel doesnt mean you can do it on another wheel. It depends on how the spokes are and whether they round out or are just flat.... I went through many many conversations and wheels to finaly find the ones i wanted.

Check out this ThreaD and post your wheels there and someone can help you

Oh and this is just my opinion and thoughts but i wouldn't do a staggered setup as it kills the handling on our FWD cars (if you care at all) and second it keeps you from being able to rotate your tires (if you care at all) and third it will be hard to resale as you will be limited to only certain amount of people.

I was gonna do 19x10 O disk in rear for max lip and do 19x9.5 R Disk in front to clear my Brembos. I looked at if i ever wanted to rotate or resale i wouldn't be able to as the O Disk wouldn't work on my front and having staggered would be harder to sale.

Mike, wat have we told u b4.... we in NYC, just PM us and we help u out... in ur case 245s will make that rim stick out of the tire, so b ready to take care of those... and if the offset is between 45-38 it wont rub, if its less then 38 it will...

good luck

I don't have any rubbing at all and mine is 30..... also I had 18x9 with 245 on them and the tire actually over did the rim so i don't think the rim will stick out too much. Heck you might be right just going by my experiences only

well what i have now is 19x9.5 so we are only talking a 1/4 inch on each side of the wheel but taller on his side since he has 20's plus a thicker tire but my 19x9 were only talking an inch but heck it could mean alot lol i dunno
