I met a guy at the SEMA IAS 04 show and he was running some bronze CE28s on his 6MT with a 35mm offset. The spokes barely cleared the caliper. +34 should work just fine on your 5AT.

I got the +34 offset to clear the brembos in the future for upgrade. My neighbor has a 6MT and we put them on a '04 WDP TL and looks awesome & clearance is fine. Don't forget to use the proper lugnuts & not the OEM lugs. Also, using the correct hubcentric ring.

Jshmak, if you're ordering Volk Racing, make sure you order the wheels with High or Super High Pad to clear the BBK. But the trade off is the width of the lip. High or Super High Pad wheels have less lip than Medium or Low Pad ones do.

Medium Pad wheels clear the AT calipers.

35 offset, give or take 2 mm will be fine for the car.
260 HP : Thanxs for the referral of the wheel shop in Cali to get my Volks! I got lucky in finding the special finish in diamond black & not having to wait 60-90 days.

Damn....all I can say is damn. I've been staring at Volks for days. I snuck over to the 3GTL side (from 2G CL's) to look for something else and you guys have this thread going. (sigh) Now I really can't decide which ones I want. They all look so good on the 3G's too. Post more pics so I can be further confused! Love the SF Challenges, SF Winnings, GT-S, LE-37's, and CE28N's. Wish I could have 'em all!

Those look really good. Here is my dilemna, I plan on running a Rotora BBK and would like a decent lip like ShineyblueCLS's. My first choice are the same wheels, SF-Challenges, but depending on what fits/price/blah blah, I might consider another Volk wheel. I used WheelsDirectOnline.com 's offset chart, but it's slightly confusing. Using that what should I be running to suit my needs for an 03 CL-S w/ a BBK?

That's true, and I know it varies by wheel/wheel design...but for some reason I didn't think the style of wheel he was looking at had a design that would work with a low offset.

NP, glad I could help. Just returning a favor for someone else helping me out too.

You will love these rims! Great quality & detail!

DO NOT use the lugnut wrench that comes with the TL to install the tuner lugnuts on the Volk rims! I ended up scuffing the inside of the wheel when I used the original lugnut wrench. I learned the hard way. Use a socket & torque wrench instead.

Is it ok to use oem lugnuts on the volk racing rims or do I need to get a ray's engineered lugnuts? Also think the contrast between a satin silver tl and gunmetal rims would turn out ok? Would preciate some input...

You don't need to get the nuts from Ray's, but you will need a set of tuner lugnuts.

I'm not exactly sure which type of seat you will need to run with the SF Challenges....

I do know most Volk rims have a cone seat as opposed to the ball seat featured in the stock Enkei rim.

In my opinion...SSM is the easiest color to pair styles and colors of rims with. Black with polished lip works, brushed aluminum works, silver works, etc.

I am going to put a red lip on my gunmetal CE28Ns'. Now the question is should I paint or vinyl the lip. I think the vinyl will look like shit, so I'll probably paint it.

thanks for the compliments. The suspension is A-Spec. It looks a little higher in that picture than it really is but I don't regret it. I kinda wish it was a little lower but I like the ride how it is.

Wait so I can't use the oem lugnuts? I was told that it was ok to use the oem lugnuts for the volk sf-challenges but not the gt-c volk rims. My friend has the diamond black sf-challenges on his g-35 and he used the oem lugnuts for his rims, not sure if the lugnuts have the conical seat some of you mentioned. So I "have to" get tuner lugnuts for the sf-challenges? If so, any links where I can get these for a good price? They don't have to be a ray's engineered product..

You are now required to post several quality pics of your friend's rims. Sorry...new forum rules.

Reference only. Remember..."we're only looking at the wheels". We can block out the non TL/non Acura vehicle with our hand on the monitor.

Hello All!

Quick question...Do you think I could fit 19x8.5 +22 TE's on 235/35's with some serious fender rolling? I know that will stick out a little more than 1 1/8" over stock and give me an extra 5/8" or so inside clearance.

Or am I just crazy?

TIA!

Thats a pretty good question.,..i'm not sure what to tell ya.

I do know that with fender flares a lot of options are opened up. You can go as wide as you want depending on the extent of the flare.
