New wheels finally on the way for the TL.

After 5 years of ownership, I have finally found a set of wheels that my wife will let me put on her 2007 TL. Honestly, they're not my first choice but she likes them and that's all that matters to me. I have literally shown her hundreds of wheels over the last 5 years that have all been shot down for one reason or another. I'm actually shocked that she likes these. They don't really seem like her style. Advanti Racing Bello 18x8 +35 offset. I ordered one in to test fit. The other 3 are on the way. Tires will be 235/40R18 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The stock wheels will just be dedicated to full winter use with the 235/45R17 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4's that I put on last winter. There's a chance I may not actually put the wheels on until next spring. I have some wheels and tires, (2 sets of wheels and 2 sets of tires), that she is bugging me to sell before I purchase the new 18" tires for her TL. Oh well, at least the wheel part is done.

Cool! I'm sort of going through the same thing myself. Haven't quite been able to find an aftermarket wheel that I really like.

Finally got tires mounted on the Advanti's. 235/40R18 Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Hopefully will get a chance to detail the car and install the wheels tomorrow.

Lol. Never gonna happen. It took me 5 years to convince her to get new wheels. It's okay, the less money I put into the TL means more money I can put into the RL.

Bolted the wheels on today and did a quick detail on the car. Here's a pic. I'm posting some more in my build thread.

Just realized I never officially made a build thread for the TL. Oh well. It's not really going to be modded beyond this anyway. Here's some more pics.

I wasn't sure how I felt about the wheels at first, but they look great on the car! Are you sure you don't want to drop it just a little?

It's not what I do or don't want. If it were up to me, it'd be dropped on some 19's.

Thanks guys. I'm pleased with the way they turned out. I'm actually surprised she likes them. She's always been against skinny spokes. Like I said before, not anywhere near my first choice but happy wife=happy life. On the plus side, they were a hell of a lot cheaper than anything I would've chosen.
