Looking to swap out my teins..

Hello, I am a new 2006 TL w/ Navi owner. I bought the car this past weekend and it is lowered with tein springs. the car is really low and tires rub. I am looking to raise the car back up and replace the rims and tires. Don't get me wrong, my car looks awesome but I do not want to create huge headaches for the car or my wallet later. might even look for even trades if someone wants to help... Any suggestions?? thanks a bunch!

Thanks, I love the car and get lots of compliments on it. I am just tired of "cringing" everyime I make a sharp turn or hit a speed bump!!

yes please post pics. I actually thought about lowering my car with some Teins but if you said you rub then I don't think I wan't to go with them since my 08 TL-S is a daily driver

Tien SS are coilovers and are fully adjustable.

ok, will post pics soon. My springs are not adjustable. So I am going to look for a set of adjustables or maybe go back to stock. If I can raise the car about an inch, I will not have to change out my wheels and tires right away...

If you all want to see pics; you can still view them from the dealership I purchase the car from. They have 31 pics of the car from all angles inside and out. http://lacarcollection.com/ click on the acura link on the page. tell me what you guys think! thanks for the input..

yeah, the springs that are currently on the car are tein lowering springs. I am looking for a way to raise the car a bit and then I am looking to put 18's or maybe 19's on the car.. I took the car to Big-O and they recommended putting on adjustable coilovers. I am not savvy on this sort of thing so I am looking for suggestions. I need to have the work done soon since I will be giving the car to my wife for work.. Thanks !

Like i mentioned earlier, Tiens SS are fully adjustable coilovers.

if you guys are in the market for coilovers, i would suggest these or the megans.

Awesome, thanks for the info and comments guys.. I have been looking at the Megans online, have read lots of good comments on them. A little more research and I should be ready to make a decision.

Are you sure this TL is lowered only with Tein springs? Maybe it's just me, but the front fenders even looks rolled.

Below is my 07 TL-S with tein s-tech springs and do not rub anywhere. I have stock tires also. Have you though about possibly selling the wheels and tires and replacing them? What are the offsets of the wheels? Does the TL have aftermarket wheel spacers? I would check these things out. The car looks great!! Navigation and Type-S Aspec kit w/ an 07-08 bumper conversion!

EDIT: With your car being lowered look in the rear and see if an aftermarket camber kit has been installed! Save you $$$ in tires later!

OP is an idiot. just adjust the freaking coilovers. yeah just ignore all the posts that say to just adjust it.

also i may be wrong but i dont think you can SLAM a car with only springs.

take a wheel off and take a pic and ill tell you if they are coilovers or just springs.

how do you know he has coilovers? tein makes springs and coilovers.

OP said in his initial post that they were springs.
