Chicago winters are a bitch man, so it would be worth it to change it out if its gonna be too low, dont want my front lip becoming a plow! lol

then i guess i will be heading the Megans rout since i heard they can even go higher than stock height!! sweet deal on the type 1's be if u can't raise it up at least stock height for the winter then they no good to me!!
#165
i know so you are saying the coilovers will go as high as 1.5 inches max when fully raised? i know we don't buy coilovers to raise our cars but to lower or slam them lol...but it would be nice to have that choice.

stock height is just ridiculous it looks so ugly lol why wud u ever want to go back. the vendor acktl drove this past winter with a 1.5 inch drop with no problems.

I rode on my H&R Sports this last winter (about a 1.5" drop) and had no problems, so if the HT-Spec's are as high as my current setup at their max then I wont have a problem, however I will still probably switch to my stock suspension each winter to keep the coilovers from getting too corroded from the salt. That stuff can do some real damage real quick.

This is as low as I personally would go on stock rims:
There's just something about no gap and stock rims that I don't like. I've considered raising mine up 1/4". Maybe it's the lack of low profile tires or maybe it's just the smaller rims, don't know. To each their own though.
IMO, the cars always look lower in motion:
Are there rims in your future?

the handling on ur car is probably better at the height you have it at compared to mine. with me I never drive my car hard anymore...take turns normally and usually just chill when i drive as i try to avoid potholes lol. I did all the engine upgrades besides the pre cat deletes and still dont push my car. Its all personal opinion tho I hate wheel gap and some people like it.

How did it work out with your driveway?

I think 3/4" of thread is the minimum. I did 1" in the front and it brought the fender to the top of the tire. I did 1 1/4" in the back and it needs another 1/2" to be even

I raised the car today a little bit. It was tucking way too much in the rear when I had people sitting in the back seat. Sorta looked "broken".
I need some spacers anyone know a good place to get them from? They are like 120 from ebay for each set. Do i really want to drop $240 on spacers?
This is how the car sits now

so because it settled too look with passengers and this is the HT setup. you are not looking for spacers to lift it a bit or are the spacers for the rims? And if you had shelled out the extra $$$ for the other kit mentioned with the HT would you still need the spacers. I'm just trying to view the pros and cons of doing a 1.5 drop. on the new ride height although i'm not done going through this thread .
thanks for compliment on the sub

Edit: And if you don't understand what I mean by: a more aggressive offset set up. I'll sum it up here: stock rim offset is +45 (correct me if I'm wrong) & with wheel spacers you can go to as low as: +20 or lower depending on how many mm wheel spacer you go with. And when you lower the offset of rims, they poke out more giving you either a flush look or hella flush look.
