1.5 isn't a big drop at all...you'll be fine I plan on keeping my car the same height during winter also

As soon as I get my tax return back, I will be ordering this. Should be interesting since I plan on tracking my TL a few times this summer (not drag strip, real track, aka the kind with turns).

I have a major problem...anyone have any bright ideas on how I can get up this fucken driveway. Its my college campus house and thats my parking spot ( I refuse to park on the street) half these people always hit other cars when trying to parallel park and drunk ppl walking by every thursday friday and saturday are wreckless. So i must get my car up this driveway without scraping. So far I have tried going up forward (EPIC FAIL) the bumper was like about to rip off. Best way to do it is reverse in my entire car gets in safely except the bottom lip as u can see gets destroyed by the street portion. I am not worried about the black strip under the car that gets scraped very badly. I am just worried about the lip. I have tried using a book but it was also a fail. only the VERY bottom of the passenger side of the lip has good contact with the street and i usually just back in VERY slowly. I have put cardboard under that right part and slowly reversed into the driveway (it still scrapes) but i dont think it makes scratches due to direct contact with the cardboard. I feel like im going to rip my bumper off. I have also tried various angles. Are there any ramps I can buy? Should I just raise my car up a bit. Or shud i just suck it up and say screw it its just a few scrapes on the BOTTOM portion of the lip and continue to keep it at this height which i love.

I'm not sure if it's practical to put anything down in the gutter or not but a 1x6 laid across where the driveway meets the street would probably work since the slanted portion is pretty short. The only other thing would be to try approaching it forward at an extreme angle almost as if you were parallel parking. If you could get the front tire to hit the ramp part at about the same time as the lip and then crank then wheel to straighten it, you might have a chance.

Wow I think that may actually work..I get what you are saying. If I approach it as a parallel park n somehow manage to get the 2 front tires on the thing then I will def make it up because I have no problems with the back scraping. I would also have to reverse out the same way. I am away for the week but when I get back I will def try out your method. Thanks

Nice drop! a little too much for me, but you are helping me get a gauge to what i want! im guessing about a 1.25-1.5 drop with 19's in the future. I'm near Rutgers, im over at Monmouth Junction, if you see a white tl type s its me, i dont know how many more are actually IN NB but i hope not many, i try to not be in there too much

My car I believe is approximately dropped 2 inches or maybe a little more.

I hate cars this is a better pic so you can see all the space I have to work with..I think your parallel approach should work on it.

I think you guys have alotta hill type areas up in monmouth haha. Def do at least a 1.5 inch drop btw you will still have some wheel gap. a 2 inch drop make is flush with about zero gap. Thats why i think im a little lower than 2 inches

if you come in backwards you have to come in the same way he said..as if you were parallel parking...looking at your garage, your gonna want to come in at a steep angle to where your back left tire will be on that grass patch in front of your garage door...your probably gonna have to actually go INTO the garage at an angle as well..will be tough but u can do it

as much as i want to achieve a flush look, im skeptical given how horrible are roads have been lately we'll see, ill prob install a coilover kit so that i can adjust accordingly

i think it makes more sense to go in forward like parallel towards the grass so i can keep going forward and reversing to actually get the car in haha ill find out in a week when im back from spring break

I have no problems with my drop except for the driveway at school which sucks because i go up n down it every day

i just drove from jersey to massachusetts with no problems and I went through george washington bridge area lol. Its all about being on the lookout for potholes n bumps you can usually avoid every single one of them

This has been the first suspension I have ever gotten. I am used to stock n comfort and I think the Type 1s are as comfortable as stock lol. You decide from there

ht spec comes with tophats

but update

I went to my local firestone over here in massachusetts and they could not get the car up the lift. He tried 2 different lifts but their lifts are the ones that are like ramps and you have to drive up it.

Now hopefully I have better success at the firestone near new brunswick new jersey

do you guys with dropped cars not get car alignments lol somebody give me a place to go to

I got to Honda Dealer. Buddy works there. All you have to is lay a piece of wood at the beginning of the ramp to drive up on... Not that hard....
