I just scuffed one of my 18" OEM rims this past w/e (damn low profile 235/40/18s!). I used a guy locally (Lehigh Valley, PA) to repair it. Came to the house, took the wheel off, repaired it, and reinstalled. $80. Wheel is as good as new - I can't even tell where the damage was - no matter how closely I inspect the wheel.

I have 2, but they were both caused by the Acura server tech of the week when he removed and replaced my tires.
I nominated both the technician and the service rep for Darwin awards as they tried to convince me that the scratch was actually dirt.
I asked how dirt etches the wheel in perfect circumferences, and only occurs on the front wheels......I am sure this has NOTHING to do with the fact the tires were replaced

Rock-
My friend (whose nickname is Rock - how funny is that) turned me on to that guy. Turns out it is a franchise and he is the local rep - he actually doies work for all the dealerships around here . The company's website is http://www.mobilewheelrepair.com. They have a locator service that will give you the information on who you can contact locally. Cannot speak for any other reps (obviously) but the guy that does it locally did a great job.
Mods - not trying to sell the company just provide information. I know how angry I was on Saturday when I scuffed the rim. Sure beats buying a new wheel.

I do not have any scratches. But then I am so Anal Retentive about them. I know they will scratch and dent easily, so I stay away from pot holes and curbs.

3/4 for me. Wife did all three, though I came along later and added to two of them. I've looked in to http://www.mobilewheelrepair.com. but haven't had them come yet. There's a guy about 45 minutes from me. Has anyone gotten them to give you the name/color code for the paint they use to get a perfect match? I know the wheel paint has come up many times but maybe not within the context of someone else doing the repair, it's usually "What color do I buy at Pep Boys?"

My wife dinged her TL's wheels, I was able to fix the defects in the metal but not find a perfect match for the paint.
Any help would be appreciated.
