How to bypass TPMS if you get new wheels/tires

Hi guys,

I just put on my TE37 wheels on my car, i was wondering, how would you bypass the TPMS on the car? RIght now, when i drive it only shows up sometimes. It does bother TOO much right now, but i think in the long run, it will eventually start to annoy me.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

You just paid $3K+ for new wheels and tires and didn't bother to buy $120 worth of new sensors to install in your new wheels?

You know what you need to do now. They're cheap, and bolt right on.

Here is a stupid question.... You have to actually remove the tire from the wheel in order to install the sensors right? I have another set of tpms I'm ready to have installed on my inspyres and just have to find the time to take it to a shop.

What you mean by bypassing it? You mean the warning light on the left of the gauge or the alert message on the right? If you want to get rid of the message just press the "Select" Button then it will not show up. But the TPMS light on the left will still be there.

the tire does NOT, have to come off to install the sensor... my boy works at globe discount tires in hackensack new jersey, pm me if you need ur sensors installed...

my boy did the reverse we took the tpms sensors out of my type s rims, replaced with bronze valve stems...

all he did was empty it, used a curved metal looking machine to get behind the sidewall (machine used to unmount tires), used the mounting thing which pushed down on the sidewall, where the valve stems are and replace them with the sensor (in my case the opposite), then he lifted the machine off the sidewall filled with air and you hear the sidewalls pop as the are filled with air, then me put it on the balance thinggy just to make sure they were balanced.... all my tires read 0...

just pm me evader I will give you his info...

To be installed safely it does.

Try that with 35 series tire and a 19" rim...

Risk to tire sidewall, scratch to rim, and to poor tire employee is too great for most tire shops to consider described activity. I ASKED them to do exactly what you describe in hopes of avoiding rebalancing... They kindly asked me to let them do thier jobs.

Most will deflate the tire, and pop the innner bead off the rim to access the valve hole.

Tell "your boy" to be careful before he hurts himself.
