nice moulding work buddy! someone has time and talents lol... i used to install flooring (hardwood, tile, vinyl, etc... so i can appreciate the hardwork and time it takes to do moulding lay outs like that.... i had a hard enough time doing my crown mouldings

Well, I pulled the trigger and changed my wheel order of XXR-527 from 18x8.75 et35 to et20 so I can take full well advantage of the concave design of the wheel.

I am going to be performing a mild drop, 1.5", on a 235/40-18 tire. I don't want to significantly sacrifice ride comfort, so the tire size is almost a moot point, unless anyone can convince me otherwise. I'll drop as much as the roll allows, my HT-Spec Type IIs are resting in the garage.

We've got some serious work to do on the fenders, I reckon.

So who else is with me?
i have the same question man, i have 2010 tsx i wanted to put XXR 527 18x8.75 Gold 5-100/5-114.3 [+35mm]
what tires 235/45/18 what you guys think will the wheel fit my car?????? Help...

hmmm tsx im not very familiar with fitment room in front but you would need to run a 40 series side wall not a 45 series thats too tall you might want to ask the guys in the tsx forum they might have better insight

Personally, I will never, ever advocate rolling to anyone after cutting the wells. It really was super fast, easy, and IMHO came out pretty nice. Moreover, I can now go more agressive with the gap and minimize it to a finger-gap without worry. We'll find out Saturday!

It's not that close, it's just the angle of the shot...the fenders are nice and smooth, thought...I ground the edges to the point where I could run my bare fingers across them metal the ensure my new tires see no harm.

Thanks, fellas. I had always wanted this in my home, I just finally got to the point where I can actually do it. The whole job was not difficult, just time consuming...save the run up the steps. I've done custom shelves with crown moulding, I've done 2 and 3-peice crown mouldings...doesn't come CLOSE to the difficulty those 3 boxes running up the steps presented. Those 3 boxes took 9 hours to do, but then again 5 hours or so was just figuring out the effing math.

With some customer Acura center caps to finish it off, I could see those looking great. The stance makes a big difference, that's for sure. rolling shots must look amazing.

Guys, how would a 245 tire look on these? I was speaking to the tire guy and he was saying if I'm gonna stretch the tires I shouldnt waste $ and go with an expensive tire. Then I just started to think if I can use the 245/40/18 I already have on my current wheels and was just wondering how it would look on the xxr wheels.

^ I don't think that would be enough stretch to make these fit. But I don't know I am just going by pics of other members' setups.

Also does anybody have stretching experience with Nitto Invo? I am getting two 225/40/18 for $90 a piece and wondering If I should get em and put em up front and use some cheapo tires for the rear.

Thanks guys. So the final specs are 18x8.75 + 20 all around wrapped in 225/40/18. Nitto Invo up front and good year eagle GT in the rear. I have the fenders cut/rolled with a slight pull on the fronts. The fronts will fit easily without any pulling and basically cutting off that lil piece of metal. I havent driven the car on the street yet, I just moved around in the parking lot to make sure nothing came loose. I think I can go lower in the front but I will leave it alone since I think it looks clean as is and I dont necessarily want to be slammed. I feel a slight rub in the rear so I'll either raise the car up or run more camber. All in all I like them very much even without the center caps. Those blue lugnuts put the icing on the cake. @ DM the 225 40 18 will be perfect, very very minor stretch

Good deal, cuz I get a set of some 225/40/r18's in the garage I was planning on running. I might go with the +25et in hyper silver.

DM get yours mounted bro...

Guys i want the bronze color but they dont come in a 35 offset so it has to be 18x8.75 with 20mm offset. I have a 245 tire and a-spec suspension from a manual tl on a 05 TL AT and a 12" sub system in the back but not to heavy yet it pushes down on the rear a little bit. My question is what do i need to do to make them fit....? Thanks

They should fit fine since you are not that low. I'm just not sure if these wheels will look right without a real low drop.

I'd like to see this though. I would prefer to run a similar setup to what Bukvaman mentioned he would try. I'd like to see it.

Car will be washed today and tire shine will be added then a proper photoshoot. I plan to try the center caps and see what they look like, I was just too excited yesterday and my time was limited. The rears rub a little so I plan to mess with the height as well. YES I already have my butyl rubber for the headlights!
