Great choice, I was leaning towards 17's, but then I found something else in 18". There's a small stretch with the tires, but that's to clear the inner arm (not sure what it's called). I still have lot's of room to play with height without having to add negative camber. Let me know what you all think, but be nice regarding 4x4 looking rear.

Looks great, man!!!

Ok...so TLDude, Datdere, Deathmetal, AcuraInteg...

All you mofo's (I'm sorry if I'm wrong, going off memory) bought these wheels and got rid of them within a year. Hmmm....got me wondering!

AcuraTeggyTL I definitely dig the direction you went in...nice new wheels! Made a suggestion in the other thread for you.

Dunno about that...but the newly installed A-Spec suspension is providing for that little issue and the smaller wheel set-up will not have the stretch wear due to the 45 aspect ratio ...not to mention be ALL the more comfortable on the tuckus. I'm just going to use these as my DDs...don't have a spare set, so this should be the ticket for the long haul.

Not to get off topic, but when you get there, it's a good place to be - and this is coming from a once concrete anti-kid kinda guy. In short...it's AWESOME. My only peice of advice is get the car bug settled first...I still have a few lingering projects that still don't have a prayer of being touched!!!

Well I went with a mesh setup and I think AcuraInteg as well. I have pretty much done all I want on the car so now I'm just trying out different wheels.

Well, at 33 years old I feel like I'm ready for that step, that's for sure. About the looming projects, I'll probably always have those, but none of mine are as involved as yours! Aren't the 2G guys still waiting on your tails!!

You sold your stock wheels?!?! I'm sure this setup will be great.

I know man...was just noticing you all get rid of em quick! I like the other wheels you ended up going with.

The only problem with these wheels is that they are more of a gateway drug more than anything. I know that we all freaking loved the look, and if anything its simply starting some hardcore wheel whoring. I am simply going to a smaller size, but still maintaining a modicum of concavity…I love these wheels and am very happy with them.

Nah, I am sticking with the silver. While the chromium black is a GREAT color, on my car the silver adds some much needed diversity to the color scheme and fits the bill nicely. The silver is a really, really bright silver, if I was to ever get Type-S wheels, I’d have to paint them to match this color.

It's a great thing, my man! The LED kit was sold...I simply DON'T have the time for this anymore. It's all good, though...I think it's only sane to finally establish an endpoint in the modding game, and mine is fast on its way.

The one I'm really looking forward to is a leatherique treatment on the front seat...I'll post up about that once it gets warmer out.

Awesome man. I will be doing the leatherique treatment as well. That thing is magical. I did it when I just got my TL and I was pleased with the results. I currently use woolite/303 monthly but I plan to do the leatherique once a year.

Im having a nightmare of a time trying to decide on what specs I wanna go with and trying to find some available. Talked to numerous shops and always checking craigslist and still no luck. Any opinions on specs for someone that will be riding factory height for a while. I love the look of the +20 but worried about the poke while not being lowered. I need to make sure it will clear the brembo's. Thx for any input

18x8.75+35?
18x8.75+20?

Do it right the first time and get the +20 offset. Much more concave and looks awesome! And yes they clear Brembo's.

Now that I've been down the fitment road, I'd say that if you confirm that you can fit an aggressive wheel vicariously, go for it. Spacers get the job done too, but getting the right offset from the start is much better. I'd do anything BUT pull the fender.

reviving an old posting!

I found a good deal on XXR 527 wheels but they're 18x9.75 front and 10.5 in the rear. Seller isn't sure of offset.

would you guys buy this or should I buy the 8.75" wheels? I have a 2005 TL 6speed and I need the wheel to clear brembos.

previous owner had K sport coilovers but one is blown, I'm planning to it rebuild and install it myself in the summer. I'm just not sure about fender rolling and stuff. I just want to make sure the car is drivable with a full passenger load.

any help would be appreciated ☺️

do not get those specs they won't work that well or they will require a ton of modifications. stay with what's proven to work

OMG after about 45 minutes of reading I wasn’t able to get s definitive answer. I have a 08 TL-S. I just grabbed a set of 527 18x8.75 +35 brand new for 200 bucks. I am not currently lowered but will be on Tein coilovers soon. The question is will the +35 offset clear my brembos? If not what size spacers would I need in order to clear them. Thanks.

That should fit without issue.

Will 18x8.75+20ET w/ 235/40/18 fit and clear TL-S brembos and no rub on bone stock? If I go with this setup, am I SOL for future coilover/drops?

did you ever check that?
I found a used set with 245 40 18 advan tires with about 75% and I'm rubbing in the rear .I have not tried to roll it yet as

I knew 245 would be close but I figured I'd try
I'm wondering if a 225 40 18 would work and I'd still be able to have a ok alignment with help of something cheap

really late reply, i'm on 225/40/18, no rub on stock, tires are stretched.

i wanted to know if folks have used an impact wrench to pop off lug nuts on these..i have tuner lugs and the thin walled key, but everywhere i'm reading, it seems like no go for impact wrench.
