Tire Pressure Question?

So I just got some new tires. summer firehawk indy 500. This is my first time rolling on UHP Tires. They were on a pretty good discount and I noticed the difference immediately. I see that my door jamb says 38 front 35 rear. I have attached a pic of what my tpms says. Yes this was after work and it was around 78F at the time, but I hadn't left the parking lot yet. Even first thing in the morning the readings seem a bit high. So my questions are: Did they put maybe a bit too much air in after putting tires on? Is it just this high when warm? Should I let a little air out? TIA for your assistance!

First thing in the morning check the pressure. then deflate to the proper pressure as indicated on door jamb.

Double check the pressure with a good pressure gage, make sure it reading whatever your door jam said. I believe its 33 PSI for front and 30-31 PSI for the rear.

TPMS may be off 1-2 PSI so it's always best to check with an accurate gauge before adjusting tire pressure, esp when cold!

Ok checked it yesterday morning but only with the TPMS right when I turned on the car. Cold readings are more inline with the door jamb as you all have stated. Here are a couple more questions though. When I look at my door jamb it looks like the current sticker was put on top of an older one. I am assuming that when the dealer put on the A-spec kit that the tire psi specs changed?. I very rarely hear people say theirs is 38 front and 35 rear like mine is. When I bought the car the tires were at 32/33 all around. Also, what do you guys recommend for a good quality reliable pressure gauge?

While I do not have an A-Spec package on mine, I have experimented with tire pressure and have found the car is the most stable (with my current tires) with about 38 psi in front and 35 psi in the rear.

Yes A spec has different PSI rating than 17", but still I believe its still 35 front and 33 rear. In any doubt call your local Acura dealer and verifying the information, regarding a good tire pressure gage reading is a must.

^ I think you’re correct. Or close. I’ll have to check the door jamb sticker I received with my a-spec wheels.

And is that a cold tire pressure?

Yep, that was before heading to work. That morning it was about 70F and warm. Here is a pic from the next morning. It cooled off to around 45F that morning. I never realized that the pressure fluctuates that much throughout the year.
