Few questions about me having 19's

I have a few questions regarding the fact that I run 19" wheels (which I love and never had any issues with).

1. Is my speedometer is 'off' by a little since it's calibrated on stock 18's? or am I wrong about this? (I'm not sure where the speed 'sensor' is located on our cars, so I'm not sure if wheel size affects it at all) If I am correct does anyone has a guesstimate on about how much it is off by?

2. In the unfortunate case that I get a flat, would it be ok to use my spare? (which is obviously a much smaller wheel )

the rolling diameter should be the same, unless you went with a higher or lower tire.

the stock tire size is 235/45/17 and if you head to http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator
you can compare and contrast your tire size. it will even give you how much you are off by.

since the fronts are the driving wheels, I would never put the spare on the front and have two different sized wheels.

Thanks much man, answered perfectly. <3

And thanks for that link! I run 235/35/19 so It says I have a 7.26% too slow variance, this is exactly what I was curious about. Not much to worry about, but wanted to know

And yeah no spare on front makes sense.

^the stock tire size is 235/45/17
you're running 235/35/19

it has a variance of .59% according to the tire calculator.
which is a good thing and better than the 7.26%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7.26% is waaaaay off !!

Stock Type-S are 18's? No?

With the 7.26% it showed me, it was the difference between 59 mph and 62 mph, not much

Type-S wheels are 17's.
the Aspec rims are the only "stock" rims that are 18s. but with the correct sized rubbers its the same rolling diameter as the 17s and your 19s.

i'm surprised you picked the right sized tire. did you have help putting together your wheels and tires?

Odd, coulda swore I pulled 18's off of it, but I swapped them almost pretty much as soon as I bought the car, so I could be mistaken

But yeah I picked out the rims and the guy at the shop recommended the tire size

I didn't do any calculations (like he must have) but I did set my stock wheels next to the new ones (both had the rubber on them obviously lol) before he mounted them and they were pretty much the same

Anyways, thanks a million J

I always thought the Type-S ran on 18s as well.
