falken tire options

I had great luck with Falken on other cars, and don't think you can beat the price/quality/performance.
So, just bought new ASpec wheels ( thank you Clint) and would like to get better performing tires than the OEM Michelins.

Does anyone have any experience, comparisons or opinions between the Falken 912, 452 or Avenis tires?

I agree emas, I used falkens on my last car and had great experence with them, can't remember if they were 912 or avens though? They improved the handling of my stock honda trimendously and were better than the kumho's i was running and i've had good luck with kumho. I have a tendensy to push my car through the corners a bit. anyway good luck. Don

I am running the 245/40-18 Falken FK452's on A-Spec wheels and I love them so far. They are quiet and look great. The tread width is not as wide as some other tires but it is not a problem with me.

Funny, I felt like the Falkens actually looked wider than other tires.

Go with falken fk452s. Good cheap tires. They're more summer tires than winter though.

So, how do the 452s run/handle in wet/raining condiditions? ... cold/freezing?

I wouldn't drive 452s in snow/ice. Ziex 912 are all-seasons.

Thank you. I do plan to run winter tires on my oem wheels, but living in NE run the risk of occasional icing beyond winter (Oct-Nov & March-April) when I would have the summer tires on. Curious how the 452 would be in that or heavy rain?

Just replaced my Toyo Proxes 4 with Falken Ziex 912 simply because the price difference was significant and have read some good reviews on the 912's. Falkens felt good on wet pavement last night and drove much quieter right off the bat. Good tire for the $$.
