Experience with Midas?

Anyone have any experience with Midas for tire mounting/balancing?

I usually go to 2 local shops that I trust for my maintenance but neither of them are sure they can properly mount 245/45/17, they say their machines may not be able to handle it because they are low profile. So it seems like my only option is to go with a larger company. Midas just happens to be very close by but I'm open to the other large chains as well as long as people have had positive experiences. They will only be mounting/balancing tires that I provide. I'm just worried they will damage my rims?

My experiences with PEP Boys service have all been negative. On my last car, an 05 Toyota Solara coupe, they informed me that i needed over $2000 worth of front end and engine mount repairs. I brought it to Toyota, who'd love to sell me that kind of service, and was told, without any doubt, that I needed nothing done; all was OK. On another previous car, A Jeep Grand Cherokee, they tightened the lug nuts so tightly that they had to break the nuts off and replace all the studs. (No jokes, please!) I go there for cleaning products only. Check if Midas has a machine designed for low-profile tires and that they know how to use it properly. If so, go with it. If not, look elsewhere. They're your rims and tires; don't let them damage either. Hy

Yea pep boys techs work off commission on parts hence why if u go there for brakes u will need calipers too. Or engine mounts like above.
