I'm curious as to the difference between the Progress RSB's mounting holes, being that they're adjustable. Can anyone give a little explanation of the difference between the two mounting locations?

^ Yea I was wondering how to adjust it also. I guess it will come with directions about setting and changing this...

there are two sets of holes at the end of the bar where the endlinks hold the bar. the furthest out is the "soft" setting or street setting. the one further in is "track" or stiff setting.

as far as balancing the ride based on settings: search for progress rear sway bar...i know IHC has made numerous explanations.

to answer the: should you change the front? you could...its a PITA b/c it requires dropping the subframe. IHC states that running either a types front sway or a H&R front sway with the RSB on soft will give the most balance to the car. there are a number of discussions on the topic...

you can certainly run the RSB on firm/stiff/track setting (all one in the same), and see how you like it with a stock set up. it all really depends on how you drive the car, what suspension you are running, and what you are looking to get out of the car it self. try both and see what you prefer.

Thanks for the information, I will look for the RSB threads and read a bit before installing.

+1 I was on the fence about ordering elsewhere for prompt shipping but decided on Excelerate on account of how well they support the forum. If it's going to be another week or two I will probably ask for a refund and go elsewhere for $141 shipped.

x100000. I am growing impatient as well.

Any updates from the vendor? I would like to have this installed before the weather gets colder.

You do not need to do the front bar but it will help improve handling if you do do it. Most people do not install an aftermarket FSB (since you already have a factory FSB) because it takes about 2.5 hours to install and involves dropping the subframe.

One of the holes is more aggressive and makes the rear end swing out more aggressively or easily.

The first 5-10 orders are shipping tomorrow. I was trying to wait until I got at least 15 orders to begin shipping so I could guarantee the price.

^ Ok cool, thx again!. Does price change at all? I'm all for saving money, but i dont care, its only $5 difference. If 5 dollars breaks me i'm already in trouble.....

Most of the orders shipped yesterday. We are shipping another handful today. We are now back ordered on these. The GB has ended and there are a couple back orders. We will have more available in 2 weeks and the back orders will ship then.

Got mine put in today! Very simple install. I can already feel a difference and havnt even got to take it on any twisties yet. Installed the RSB and P2R throttle body spacer in about 2 hours. Took my time and it was very easy, just put some wd40 on the end link bolts before trying to take them off. Again thanks Excelerate for both products!

RSB received, thanks Excelerate! Would love to hear some feedback, especially from the guys who have set it to track/stiff. Still debating which setting to put it on myself...

you really need to ask people who have used both settings to give a fair comparison. otherwise you will end up with a biased opinion.

if you read enough threads about the RSB and how to balance the car better, then you can ascertain what would be the best setting would be. stiffer (more) is not always better. i have mine set for street/soft setting paired with Aspec supsension, and the car handles like a champ! significantly less body roll in turns and a fairly less forgiving rear end (at least that's what i perceive). IHC has written up many a post on trying to balance (oversteer/understeer) the TL in terms of the sway bars. just wanna point you in the right direction so you can make an educated decision.

Yeppers.

I never upgraded sway bars before and I figured that on the stiffest setting the improvement would def. be noticeable....just to see what all the RSB fuss is.

You'll like it, are you on stock suspension?

I've only driven a little while but so far so good, during aggressive cornering the rear is just right there, in total control behind the front. It didn't touch the ride quality at all, still very comfortable. Although, I did notice the rear of my car will no longer bounce when you push down inside the trunk there so it did stiffen things up....without affecting ride quality.

ohsixMTee-i'm sure you would have noticed a difference in soft setting as well...afterall the stock 6MT RSB is 20mm while the progress bar is 24mm. i certainly did. i installed the RSB after my Aspec suspension install. as i progressed from stock to aspec...wow...add RSB...WOW! my brother was even impressed since his toy is a highly modded Evo. it would be interesting to see how my car feels on stiff/track setting.

now you need a suspension to pair with your new RSB...your fun factor will go up a little more.

The stock one is hollow too right? Big difference IMO even between 20 solid and 20 hollow, now the 24 solid is a great improvement! I might try the other setting after I get used to this one, who knows....maybe I'll like that one better.

Yeah, I have a feeling that will happen in the future. lol

I'd honestly like to beef up my front sway bar a bit now, the responsive back end exposed the spongy front and it feels like maybe a TL-S FSB might help.
