EDFC Control Location

Currently i have my EDFC box in the upper tray under the radio.
Im planning on getting a ScanGaugeII this weekend, and from the template of the size it would fit perfect in the upper tray. Only one problem...EDFC box is there.

Im looking for anyone who has put theres in the lower tray (ive seen it on here before, but search got me no where). I know ill have to remove the cig. lighter but thats not a issue.
Anyone got any info/pics on this?

Thanks in advance.

i used a small piece of 1/4" plexi glass. i carefully measured the opening of the lower compartment and the EDFC unit. had the plastics supply store lazer cut it exactly. i then painted one side gloss black. then i used some small L brackets and super strength double sided tape to mount it on there perfectly. here is a closer look

Make sure you can remove it easily for smog test or when you need to plug into the code reader that is hidden under that panel
The other option is in the sunglass holder

I asume you are talking about the ScanGaugeII?

If so it is a simple plug and play, they even advertise being able to swap it into different cars with no problems. Simple plug in and go.

I Dont have a second car to use this with so i will be tucking the WIRE, yes one wire is all it has under the dash. Then when it comes time to have my emmisions checked, all i have to do is unplug the cable at the ODBII port and let DEQ do there thing. When they are done i plug it right back in like nothing happend.
Also a nice feature about it....it is a code reader

Good looking out, but just looking at it i can tell it wont work, we dont have a horizontal bar on our mirror, only a vertical. I cant even tell how that may work on any car.. guess it all depends on the OBDII plug location. Cable is only 6ft long.

I was only talking about the edfc blocking the plug in port in front of the shifter.
As long as its quick and easy access the only question is:
Do you need it up high to adjust between corners and straightaways with the presets- rather than reaching low and pulling your eyes off the track...
I say track because no one would drive like that on the street

Defently never sees a track..or racing anymore. Show car with more $$$ in suspension than what is needed.

The OBDII Port is directly under the trunk release on the bottom of the dash.

more info on it can be found on there website www.scangauge.com

yes, please let us know how the scangaugeII works out. It seems like a really neat tool/capability to have in the car.

I will. Of course im gonna make a new thread for it, this ones got the wrong title for that, also in wrong section.

As long as nothing comes up i will be picking it up on saturday, and then have a nice 150 mile drive on monday night that will let me check out all it has to offer. Expect a review mid week next week. I know a couple people are waiting for some AZ user input on it.
