Do any of you with lowered rides have to use a front camber kit?
just wondering what the consensus is here on front camber kits?
i know rears are used quiet often but don't hear much about the fronts...
considering getting a set try just interested in other peoples thoughts on this.
Thanks!

I don't think front camber kits are that necessary unless you need it for wheel fitment or you just want to correct those numbers. When I lowered my car my front camber was around -1.5 which isn't that bad. But my rear was -3.5. . So I can see why many people ignore the front camber kit.

Hello... Good AM!
murph - From my knowledge when you correct the camber, it pushes the top of the wheel out more towards the fender. This puts more possibility to rub... What I was wondering is if you can take a picture of the tire clearance before/after the camber kit. I want to stay within spec so my tires don't wear on the inside. I'm compiling the best wheel fitment for me with size, camber, drop amount, etc. So you would be contributing to this Thanks

Murph-I went with the front Skunk2 Camber kit, only to get the specs back to within spec, and I have read that the Skunk2 is easier to adjust than a front Ingalls ball joint. I am only lowered around 1.6", but didn't want to deal with uneven tire wear. Ordered from Heeltoe Auto. Just got it installed a few months ago, about the same time I purchased new tires. Every case is prob different, I decided to try it and hope for the best (for my tires). My front camber before kit -1.3L / -0.9R.
I have read some members using the kit to run more (-) camber, to fit wheels. The Skunk2 kit can be modified to achieve this increase in (-) camber ability. <prob not what you want.?

If you alter the suspension in ANY way, it is beneficial to have a front camber kit.
You don't need one, but it is beneficial.
I'm dropped, and my tire wear is even, and, the most important thing is that my alignment specs are all within OEM limits.
Can't beat that. No matter what ANYBODY says. But, if you're willing to deal with some tire wear, you don't need a front camber kit. I have camber kits for both the F/R.
I absolutely love the fact that I decided to do this.

^I agree! I am also glad I decided to do this! Although I will be looking at replacing the front compliance bushing's on my '04, due to cracking which may have been causing other issues I was having with allignment....

^ that is what I am starting to think might be causing my issues is the comliance bushings... does this cause wear if they are cracked??

Murph-I think it's movement in the bushing itself, so when on the allignment rack it is in that position, once you move it off the rack, it moves and causes your allignment to go out. I think IHC could explain it the best. I am a noob to this stuff...tryin to figure out...
