Difference b/w 1st and 2nd GENs? READ!!
It seems to me that many of the 1st Gen TLs are able to run lower offsets than the new TLs because many of you have had poblems with rubbing even with high offsets. There are just too many people on here saying different things about offset. you have some persons saying there car is fine with 18s and 19s with +40--+44 and others that have +47s that don't work. I mean will we EVER know what will and won't work....?....i don't think so! dfunkmaster, fred3113, and some other dude all have low offsets(18s-+40;19s-+44;18s-+42) and they have little to no rubbing problems. dfunk amd fred say they have VERY little rubbing and that can be easily and quickly fixed. the guy with the 19s has +44 with a 3 inch drop and has NO rubbing problems. so....you all do the math!!! OH YEAH...what would be the best tire size to go with 18s(as far as best to prevent rubbing and rough riding)?

Maybe it's just me, but I think dfunkmaster's wheels stick out way too much. Can't imagine how they couldn't rub on the outside of the wheel well.
BTW, my Racing Hart's are +50, although they are 8" wide and they fit just right. Just adding more confusion to an already confusing topic.
Best thing is to find someone who has them, put them on your ride, and see what they look like.

THAT'S WHAT IM SAYIN!! (EVEN IF THEY DID STICK OUT, AS LONG AS THEY DON'T RUB...WHICH WOULD BE PRETTY HARD TO DO!!??) FIRST, I'LL TAKE SOME CLOSE UP'S FOR YOU GUYS. THE REARS TUCK PERFECTLY...BARELY HAD TO ROLL THE LIP TO CUT THE MINISCULE RUBBING. THE FRONTS ARE A DIFFERENT STORY. I WOULD SAY THEY ARE FLUSH WITH THE FENDER, BUT NO RUBBING WHAT SO EVER. I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THOUGH, IN THOSE PIC'S, THE WHEELS DO LOOK LIKE THEY ARE STICKING OUT. BUT THEY REALLY DON'T. I THINK IT'S JUST THE ANGLE OF THE PIC. BUT I'LL TAKE SOME BETTER ONES SO YOU GUYS CAN SEE. I WOULDN'T POST,"THAT MY CAR HARDLY RUBS," IF IT DID A WHOLE LOT!! THAT WOULD BE SHITY.. ALL I KNOW IS THAT AFTER I GOT THEM ROLLED, IM NOT HAVING ANY MORE PROBLEMS. AS LONG AS THE WHEELS DON'T SICK OUT PAST THE FENDER, I THINK IT LOOKS GOOD. JUST MY OPINION.

I think i know why everyone thinks your tires stick out Dfunk....because in the pic you have your tires all shined up(along with the angle)and everyone forgets that all tires sidewalls are bowed out a little and that part of your tire is shining and the top of it(the part that rubs) is actually tucked like it should be. i really hope my rims work! oh yeah...some people actually think that when tires stick out a little it looks good. just a notion!
