Decided on what rims I want now can I actually fit these MB BATTLES
I've done everything to my car that ive possibly wanted except rims. Now that I look at all these TLs with a nice drop and perfect stance I get pretty disappointed in my TL
I've been looking through a variety of rims that are in my budget (which isnt all that great since i blew all my money on clothing, bar tabs and all the other mods on my car -_- LOL not smart decisions)
Ive come to 2 choices
1)My first choice are the MB battles (flat black)
specs 17x9.5 et 15
2)XXR 527 (chromium black)
specs 18x8.75 et 20
I've searched all through the forums. Unfortunately the 2 guys that I have seen running the MB Battles have not logged onto the site in over 2 months. I've also asked other members on what their opinions. Hopefully I can get a clear and definitive answer on this thread from all the wheel gurus
Here is my situation.
1) I do have a rear camber Kit
2) I can get ALL 4 of my fenders rolled as i just told my boy who owns a shop to purchase an eastwood fender roller
3) I do NOT have a front camber kit and I do NOT want to spend the extra dough purchasing one lol.
4) I am dropped about 2.5 inches
5) I am even willing to run a 215 45 17 stretched falken tire
Now for my first option the MB Battles 17x9.5 et 15
Can I run this on my car with the tire that I specified with all 4 fenders rolled and without a front camber kit? If i can't, what other modifications would I need to do to get these rims to work. I don't even know a place that would be able to pull my fenders and I am not too comfortable on the idea of someone distorting the shape of the original fender. Only thing I am comfortable with is the roll.
Now on to the pics, hope these members dont mind im using their cars lol
1)This guy is not nearly as low as I want to be so I am sure he had no problem getting the rims to fit
2) This is guy is as low as I want to be too bad he hasnt been on the forums in a while so I cant ask him what he did to get these to fit lol. I even thoroughly read through his thread hoping to get a clear answer on whether or not he did any camber in the front. One of the posts it seemed like he said he had no front camber but couldnt clearly understand
3) These pics all probably had front camber kits just had to post them cuz they look so sexy

my input:
so pretty much overall, you'll be fine going either direction with just a roll, its just up to you whether you want 17s or 18s
don't think you'll need camber kit in front... just roll ur fenders and you should be in the clear. (run a little more camber IF you have to
my opinion, don't run 215/45... that stretch will be ridiculous on a 9.5. 225/40 will look way cleaner.
and yes you'll be able to work the 18x8.75 +20 w/ just a roll
I had 18x9.5 +22 w/ 225/40 WITHOUT rolling my fenders and I didn't have rubbing problems even w/ a full car. Only problem was my fronts hitting bumps during turns
you'll be fine!

My problem is some ppl told me it would be nearly impossible to fit those rims in the front without a front camber kit..
I heard I would have trouble fitting a 215 tire and youre telling me i could get away with a 225. I hope you're right lol
so if I can just get a few more people saying that I can 100% fit the battles in the front without a front camber kit I am definitely picking a set of those up
lets do a vote 225 or 215 tire on the battles?
This is how low my car sits right now. Scions in the way but you can get the idea. Ill get better pics tmrw

Bforbrian told me with a 225 tire I would need to be a +25 or higher and I would still rub on incline and decline turns if i am very low
thats why im thinking i may need a 215 tires that what that guy zx88 had with his mb battle setup 215 40 17

I just cant imagine using the 215/45 on a 9.5" wheel
but its up to you, i'm curious as to what others think about this situation.
i'll research more on TL's w/ 17s after dinner

Ahhh ic. I PERSONALLY would go 225/40 on the MB and do whatever I would have to do to make them work. (A roll for sure, but if more camber is needed, adjust that afterwards) I really doubt you'll need a pull
