Can you guys please help? I'm sorry, but i just came across this thread; if i knew i wouldn't have post a new one asking this same question.I got an 05 TL and I'm thinking about getting Axis Penta 19s (19x8.5F) (19x9.5R) but do not want to go with 30-35 series. Really want to do 40 series, since I've had horrible riding experience with 35s in the past. Does anyone know if this will cause the tires to rub? I don't plan on dropping the TL.

If i can't do this, then I will probably do the 18s" Penta Maxis (fake staggered). Please advise!!!
Got the offset(s)

the pentas fit no problem and won't rub... if you want a 40 sidewall you will have to subtract from the width

215/40-19 or 225/40-19 i believe one of the 2 is plausible and the other doesnt exist lol

which wheel?

get a handfull of washers measure the thickness in mm (usually washers are 1mm)... put 3 washers on each wheel stud, if it clears then you only need a 3mm, if it doesnt then you won't be able to run this wheel period

as for the tires, you can't run 255/35-20 at all with a wheel with an offset bellow 38 without rubbing

Stillhere153 help me out please. Im about to recieve my Work Varianza T1S and dont know what tire size to use for the rear wheels.
My specs are:
19x8.5 +38 front (planning on getting 235/35/19)
19x9.5 +36 Rear (planning to roll my fenders but dont know tire size)
Im planning to ride pretty low but not slam it. Do i go with a 35 or a 30 series? 265 or stretched 245? For some reason theres not that many tires that are 255.

Alright good sir....I'm picking up some 19x8.5's +35 offset. Car will be dropped as low as possible...but as low as possible will be dictated by tire size. Should i expect any issues with this offset if I run 265/30-19's? I understand I won't be able to "slam" it. Mind you I live in New York so we know how the streets are. 255 a better choice?...if i can find them.....

I'm planning on getting some AME Shallen FXs, similar to Rodney's setup. I want 19s and i'm only planning to drop the car 1" at most. This is what Rodney suggested for my 08 TL-S..

Front: 19x9.0, +42mm, High Disk Tire: 245/35/19
Rear: 19x9.5, +45mm, Super Low Disk (for max lip?) Tire: 245/35/19 or 255/35/19?

How does this sound? With the offsets listed above, will the wheels sit flush? I don't want them sticking out. Any other advice? Also, is there any advantage to staggering the front/rear wheel sizes other than for cosmetic purposes? Thanks!

mmmmh 265 with -2 degree negative camber might be ok, 245 def fits tho
255 if you find it will work also

if you get 255 or 265 you could roll with either the 30 or the 35 sidewall, the 35 will provide a slight more cushioning for your passengers

245/35-19 would be the safest bet (not a stretch at all really)

will not require any fender rolling at all, advan's usually are made to clear bbk, this may or may not clear... if it doesn't I would anticipate requiring a 10mm spacer at most

245/35-19 would be your best option since you want to slam... with a +35 anything else will cause your front fenders to chew it up

Thanks stillhere!
Will the 225/40-19 fit a 9.5" wide rim? (sorta a big investment to be plausible)

"if you want a 40 sidewall you will have to subtract from the width" -- How does that work?

Should I run all the same size size tires for both the 19x8.5" and 19x9.5"? WHich is... (2??/40-19)

The tire shop and wheel company are saying I NEED to go 245/35-19 or it will rub. Of course I'm sure they are basing it off their computer and trying to match it closest to the stock wheel/tire.

Should i shut up and go 18s?

What size sidewalls should I go with?

19x8.5 +35, 245 up front and 255 in the back.

I'm going to be slammed as low as possible.

19x8.5 +35 (225/40-19)
19x9.5 +40 (255/35-19) if you go 255/40-19 it will look way to thick...

the front will need a 225/45-18

and even then it is pushing it

needs 225/45-18 fronts... might force it to 225/40-18 since your lowered

the rear is fine if you roll the fenders 275 is too thick... try 255/35-19

front is a 35... (245/35-19)

whats the width of the rear, if the rear is 8.5 I would roll with the same on all 4 corners (245/35-19)

but if the rear is wider you can either do a 255/35-19 or a 255/30-19

225 is as big as you can get in the rear

Fronts if not lower than 1.5" can go up to 245

Made a mistake on the wheels, The fronts are 18x8.5 35 offset, 245 40 18
Rears are 19x9.5 45 offset 275 30 19 tires, TL has Tein Stech Coils with A Spec struts, Planning to roll the rear if needed

Like I mentioned to you already... they WILL NOT fit flush... in order for them to sit flush... you'll need to modify your fenders, run slimmer tires and push the wheels out -15mm all around...

Your goal was to not do any modifications to the car's fenders and have beefy tires installed for everyday driving...

Do 19x9 +40mm high Disk in the front... and add +2mm of lip

I would suggest you do 245/35/19 tires all around for easy replacement... cause the 255/35/19 are pushing the limits of needing a fender roll in the rear...

Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance
I bought these rims for my 350z w/ brembo brakes that i used to have. Havent been able to sell the rims and was wondering if they will fit my 05 TL. I am willing to roll my fenders...
In this link https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...8&postcount=16

it is said that a 9.5in wide rim (w. according drop) and a +25 offset would like that. That is exactly same size as my rim but i think my tire would look a little bit larger than that, BUT everything fits there... Im jsut trying to save myself the trouble AND money of selling these and buying new rims. Any input would be great appreciated. Thx

So now it's my turn to get some new shoes on my 07 Type S. I use it as a commuter car so I'm not really big on spending lots for rims. I was looking at some 18 inch Rota rims. Can anyone let me know if these will fit my ride?

MAKE OF WHEEL: Rota
MODEL OF WHEEL: G Force (Gunmetal)
FRONT SIZE AND OFFSET: 18x8.5in & 48mm
REAR SIZE AND OFFSET: 18x8.5in & 48mm
TPMS YES/NO: Yes
SPACERS YES/NO, WHAT SIZE: None
TIRE SIZE: Any recommendations? I do lots of highway driving so don't want a super soft tire....something that lasts long and has good traction.
