Comptech RSB

I know this topic has been covered before and I've already done some searching but can't find all the information I'm looking for. I have a M/T 05 TL and I'm very close to pulling the trigger on the A-SPEC suspension. Should I also get the CT RSB? Will I notice a significant difference between the 20" and the 22" on the M/T? Is the A-SPEC suspension enough? I thought I read somewhere that people were having issues with the CT RSB clunking or something because of improper bushings. Anything to that? If I'm going to get the RSB, I'll get it at the same time as the suspension and have it all installed together so trying to decide as soon as possible. As always, any comments/info are welcome. Thanks!

I had it on my 5AT and it is a "must have" piece if you ask me.

Us AT guys will sing the CT RSB's praises all day long...I only think a handful of MT guys have put it on, though. Most of the people with MT's that I'm thinking might have done it usually hang out in the Performance subforum.

Yeah, it seems like people with the 5AT love it and notice a huge difference. I'd rather avoid the possible clunking/squeaking if it's not that big of a difference on the M/T though. If it does make a noticeable difference and my concerns are ill-founded, I'd appreciate the feedback. Thanks!

Timed out...dtpjigzer and PoochakannInc have 6MT's with the CT RSB (the other guys I was thinking of don't).

With regards to clunking and/or squeaking, I've never had either one...I did not grease my bushings (stock aren't greased and the instructions don't call for it) and I do not have whatever the new bushings are that you can get for $15. I just have the plain CT RSB installed as per the instructions and I haven't had any problems.

Fixed.

As stated above, we 5ATers with the Comptech RSB note a huge difference in handling because the stock RSB is so much thinner than the 6MT.

I have the 6MT and the Comptech RSB. I noticed a slight difference but only when I was REALLY hustling through the turns. Regular driving and turns, I did not notice a difference. But when I was being very aggressive, the car was more neutral.

I don't notice it anymore (got the RSB more than a year and a half ago)...

Had mine for about 3 weeks and it's the best investment or bang for the buck I've made. You will notice the difference when you corner, change lanes and there's less body roll.

5AT here. Did the a-spec before the CT swb, the swb did have a noticeable effect on handling with a slightly firmer ride. Great bang for the buck!

Any clunking or squeaking? Did you use the bushings that came with it?

No clunking or squeaking. I used the CT bushings. I was considering switching to the Energy Suspension poly bushings, but I haven't had any real issues with the CT bushings yet, so I've been lazy.

I have a 6MT and full a-spec kit and all I can say is that the car is much more neutral. Front end does not want to push as much. I found it was worth the money. I also used the CT supplied bushings and have not had any issues with "cluncking" or sweaking.
