Chrome look rims on A-Spec pkg

I'm about to pull the trigger on a 06 TL Nav (Anthracite) and will be getting the A-Spec pkg.
I CAN"T WAIT!!
The only thing is the dealer won't swap out the 'gun metal' A-Spec rims for 'chrome look' A-Spec wheels. What gives? Is this the only option from Acura?

Trade anyone?

I believe the chrome look rims are more $$$ maybe that's why they won't do it?

I hear that the A-Spec (darker chrome) and the chrome-look are the SAME price (at least from dealers selling on eBay). That should not be a problem.

Here is the 18" Acura rim choices...
Chrome Look
A-Spec
Sparkle Silver

The rims that come in the new A-spec kits are the middle ones...kind of a satin finish. The silver sparkle is what most people call gunmetal(bottom rim)....then you go to a satin type finish to a chrome look finish. SO....if they are giving you the bottom rim...they still have older kits in stock (common)....as the new ones come with the middle rim (so I was told by Scott @ AofE). Thats why I like buying from these guys....good parts turn-over and volume!

^ nope. It is for both the auto and the MT.

Wyman, tell your dealership that Acura of Escondido is selling the chrome & the a-spec for the same exact price. So you can reasonably expect a change-out with no problems.

His problem sounds like he is not dealing with a dealership with HUGE amts of stock on hand or they would have already offered most likely? I bet they would have to order them and sit on the others until somebody buys them...not a good deal for dealer unless you have high volume. I say HOLD OUT! Make it a deal breaker and they will get it taken care of!

^ Hm. That was a good point. I didn't think of that.

If holding out doesn't work...you could ask them to give you the A-Spec package less the cost for the wheels and just keep the stock wheels. Then you could buy the wheels from A of E for cheaper. Maybe?

Truely...I would scrap the whole thing from the dealer and buy it all from A of E after the fact! Thats the way to go man! Watch em shit when you state that they must deduct the FULL RETAIL VALUE from your deal! (they have a lot of profit in that figure)

I got a call back from the dealer. He left a message saying that the chrome wheels are more expensive and are not a part of the A-Spec pkg. Holding out is one option.
I saw the A of E prices and that could work but:
1. The A-Spec from the dealer comes fully installed and with 4 year warranty vs 1 yr from A of E.
2. The price I got seems to neutral otherwise.

I'm in no rush so will wait and see how keen they are to do the deal at year end. Waiting on iPod connector info from Acura also.

Nakayama has the exact same A spec rims and I got a set from Discount Tire 1 year ago for about $1000 chrome and they come in either 16 or 17 inches.
