Chaging your tires affects the naviation system
I recently put 20's on my 1999 TL. I have a navigation system in there and Im quite sure everyone knows the special menu secret (holding the 3 buttons down). Anyway it still says by old tire size in the diagnostic for the car. Does this affect my car's driving at all? Can it be changed? I think it affected my position on my navi because I was off major roads when I was on the road and I was forced to reset the system.
I think that menu is there for a reason

I would assume that the electronics on the NAVI are geared as such to match the tire/wheel size of your stock setup. Throwin those big rims on your car would throw your odometer/speedo/NAVI off quite a bit. Take a long road trip and see if the NAVI position is way further up the road than you actually are.
There are some tire calculators that you can do a search on the internet. Some calculators show how dramatic your mileage can be affected by changing tires.
Example, I have a 97 Accord that came stock with 15" wheels and 195/60/15 tires.
I put on 18" wheels with 225/40/18's and over the course of 100,000 miles on the odometer, my actual mileage should be 94,000 miles. A difference of 6000 miles! Since it takes longer for the bigger wheel to turn, it doesn't match to the setting on my odometer cable assembly. Don't know all the technical stuff, but basically I've traveled less than my odometer says.
