Talking Buying new tires.. would like some advice/opinons thanks

I'm looking for the best deal, longest lasting, best performance tire.
BEST TIRES FOR THE MONEY, Basically. 2007 TL Type S

Unfortunately my last thread got hijacked! so.. I figured I would split up my questions.

I recently visited Costco (they have a special right now $70 off 4 new tires until April 11th) and they have informed me that the following tire has replaced what came OEM on my car.

Pilot Sport A/S Plus
235/45ZR17 94Y PS AS+
Ultra High Performance
45,000 mile warranty
$200.08 each, plus the $15 to install each of these, and what ever other fees they charge. $800 Plus, I am sure

A friend of mine suggested the Yokohama YK520 235/45R-17 97V XL B. At almost 1/2 the price.. and have a Mileage Warranty:60,000 miles.

But what about the ride? Sounds like a deal? thoughts? Any other suggestions?

Opinions and suggestions are very much appreciated!

THANKS!

You can get 'em on Tire Rack for $188 each (Plus install).

With the $70 off, Costco is clearly a better deal. Good tire too (so far anyhow).

You should seriously consider 255/40 or even 245/45.

I'm not sure why you would want to go with a stock like tire. You can get a better tire cheaper.

It would also be a good idea to check out the 255/40/17s.

Here is what I've been looking at. I have no experience with these tires but after researching for the past month I can't wait to try them out. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

Thanks... but what are the benefits of these other tires? I am looking for the tire to LAST longer than the ones I have now, best performance, and obviously the price money. Also I don't want to verve away from possibly dealing with my speedometer not calculating the wrong mileage because of a different sized tire. Wouldn't that apply with your suggestions? THANKS!

There are various brands that you can choose from depending on the kind that you are comfortable and that which suits the car. Check out: www.clicktire.com . They have a great range of tires and wheels and I’m sure you will find the right ones to suit your needs.

Take a look at the Continental Conti Extreme Contacts..... I have run a couple sets of these over the past 5 years and had extemely good results from them. Better dry handling than the stock Michelins and waaay better handling in the rain and snow. They seem to wear very well too. The set that was on my 2003 CL Type S had nearly 25,000 miles on them when I traded the car in and they still had 50-60% tread on them.... The set I have now only have about 10,000 miles and still look like new.
