Should i buy Rotora Brake Rotors - Drilled & Slotted or just Slotted? Will drilled & slotted rotor crack?

Buy only slotted rotors, not drilled/slotted. Also, if you're going with Rotora rotors, buy Rotora pads.

Personally, I prefer the look of drilled only -- but the slots do help the pads clean and extend rotor life

slotted is a good idea for street use ... but drilled and slotted looks better IMO, i would go for the drilled and slotted just for the looks if i were you

Can you please explain why only slotted? I thought I read somewhere in the forum that drilled/slotted is as good (if not better) because it lowers the rotor temperatures during braking.

A lot of people feel that drilled rotors crack -- with that said, cheap blanks, drilled with no champering are more likely to crack. A good blank, drilled and machined properly is not likely to crack. Secondly, unless you are tracking your car, or autocrossing, it is highly unlikely you would be able to heat up the rotors enough to do any damage to cheap rotors. I have run cross drilled/slotted rotors on my last 3 cars -- supercharged Miata, 350 Z, and 330 CI with absolutely no issues.

Thanks for the info!

In slotted rotors, will rusting occur in the slots? If so, is that ok?

Rotora drilled and slotted will work fine. They're a high quality rotor and will have no cracking issues. I'm running their 13" drilled and slotted rotors with no issues.

rust will always occur on cast iron or steel rotors and thats just fine. by the time the rust eats its way through, you've gotten rid of the rotors by then.
