Before you ask for advice its best you provide info on the wheels .. are the OEM or aftermarket?

They take different style nuts.

I had black locking lugs from Gorilla, they still looked good 2 years later when I sold the car they were on, I think it was about $75 but it was a set of 24, not 20 so it should be less.

Just watch out for the different seats on the lugs. The vast majority of aftermarket lug nuts are conical seats, when you need acorn seats for stock wheels.

I think you can get 'adaptor' washers if you really want to run conical seat lugs on stock wheels.

Ty, Honda/Acura have a ball seated lug nut. But sure you get ball seated lug nuts if you stay OEM.

I just bought these for my rims. It's a great system including the locks. Very happy.

Those aren't a good option for the OP .. they are for tuner type wheels not OEM.

I'm using the mcgard regular cone seat.
http://www.mcgard.com/Applications/A...1MC%2bkg%3d%3d

Should I stop using it?
What are the consequences of using it?

Unsafe ... I wouldn't use them ... you may have issues keeping the wheels tight.

I actually rode on this lockset for 15yrs on my old CB7. Nothing ever happened. At the same time, that is a testement to the McGard finish.

Nothing to do with the finish .. its the mating surfaces of the nut and the wheel .. one is spherical the other conical and they don't match.

But then again .. you don't live close to me so I'm fine.

I was told by the people at Gorilla that the Acura wheel studs are slightly longer than Honda and the closed end lug nuts tend to bottom out. You may want to run spacers if you go with Gorilla. I have been using the Gorilla total lock system on every car I have had in the 12 years... love them
