Probably the most appropriate tire size to keep your speedometer and odometer relatively accurate would be the 275/40 R17 tires, however, your tires will most likely rub at all four corners (and almost certainly in the front). That said, if you drop down to the 255/40 R17s, your speedometer and odometer will both register a little high and any rubbing will probably be limited to just the front end.Originally Posted by AJ Wiley

So even at stock height it would rub? Could stretched tires be a better alternative to prevent rubbingOriginally Posted by horseshoez

What with your new rims being 1.5" wider than stock, I'm betting even they will rub.
Regarding stretching, some folks like that look, but others abhor it, if for no other reason than stretching tires can be dangerous.

I meant like stock suspension height. I know some people did not experience any rubbing at the stock suspension height even when they had 18s or 19s on

It all depends upon the rim width, the stock wheel size for our cars is 17x8.0, you're going with 17x9.5, and depending upon the offset, the inner lip of the rim may well get chewed up.Originally Posted by AJ Wiley

I just checked on 18" and 19" wheels which will fit the 3G TL, and as far as I can see, the eighteens are all 8.0 or 8.5 inches wide while the nineteens are either 8.5 or 9.0 inches.
Were I in your shoes, I would cancel the order for the 17x9.5s and order something like an 18x8.5 instead.

Yikes! I'm thinking to even have a chance of fitting you'd need at least a +50mm offset.Originally Posted by AJ Wiley
